Chapter 101 – Offered to the Lycan King

“Rosalie!” River shouted, shocked to the c*ore. “You must be mad! Don’t do this. What has Mia done to you? She is just a child who happened to be with Natalie at the wrong time!”

Rosalie sighed. “I can understand your concern, but we don’t need her,” she said and picked up a syringe. “Mia is not needed in the equation and she needs to be eliminated.”

“If she is not needed in the equation then just leave her. What will you achieve by k*illing her?” River argued as she looked between her and Mia with desperation in her eyes. “I beg of you, Rosalie. Please leave Mia.” Rosalie cl*icked her t*ongue as she lifted the needle to her eye level and pressed the plunger a little, squirting a pale-yellow liquid out of it. “Nope, I can’t. You see she knows a lot of details. She has to die otherwise she is going to be a menace. Once I get my deal with Hunter, I won’t need her. As such I always hated her. The pampered b*itch of her Alpha brother. After our marriage I was planning on putting her into a boarding school to get rid of her forever.” She looked at River lazily. “What makes you think I will spare her now?”

“Rosalie, please reconsider. Mia is a lovely girl. She has never gone against you. I remember that she was always doing what you wanted in the castle.”

“Nope!” her answer came clipped. “Request denied.” She ambled to Mia and picked up her forearm. She slapped the area where she would plunge the needle and then took the needle to it. She pricked the skin with it when all at once she saw a fist swinging in her direction. Shocked, Rosalie turned her head in that direction, but the fist connected to her face and she was sent flying to the floor.

Mia opened her eyes wide and glared at her. She had cut all the ropes with her claws and opened the knots with a small pin River had provided. She removed them away from her and tossed them onto Rosalie who was looking stunned.

“You made a big mistake, Rosalie,” Mia said as she got up. She removed the syringe from her forearm. She turned her face to River who also removed her ropes with a light tug. River too got up and glared at Rosalie.

When Rosalie had given water to Mia, River saw that she had opened her eyes lightly. She was disoriented, but when their gazes met, she was relieved. Since Mia was disoriented and River didn’t want Rosalie to pay attention to her, she continued talking to her. That gave time to Mia to orient herself. All the while River was putting on an act as much as possible to let Mia clear her head. In the end when Rosalie was harping about how she managed to make her plan successful, River was watching Mia.

Mia was still feeling dazed, but she came to her senses. She heard what Rosalie was saying. She signaled River to stay quiet. After Rosalie left to get the syringes, the two quickly helped each other to cut through the ropes.

“Now you are going to be overdosed, Rosalie!” Mia growled. “I am going to end this nonsense now!” She had had too much drugs in her system and so her knees were still wobbly. She masked her shakiness by standing tall, but River could sense it. And they both weren’t sure if Rosalie had any weapon with her.

River took another needle in her h*and and said, “Open the door for us, else this gets inside you.” Rosalie was too stunned by the series of events. “H— how?” she rasped as she eyed them suspiciously. “Just open the f*ucking door!” Mia said in a hoarse voice.

Rosalie clenched her teeth and got up. She opened the door and held it wide open. The two girls showed the syringes to her like they were pointing guns at her and walked out of the door into an open hall that was supported by dilapidated pillars.

But as soon as they were out, Rosalie let her beast free and she attacked Mia.

“Noooo!” River shouted, anger blasting in her c*hest. She let her wolf come out as her bones cracked and reformed. And she attacked Rosalie. She sunk her claws in her back and Rosalie’s beast howled in pain. She turned her attention to the silver wolf that was large in size just like an Alpha.

Mia was bleeding because Rosalie had clawed her across her t*highs when she had tried to run away. She scrambled to the side. Tears came out as she watched Rosalie and River fight. River was pregnant and she hoped that the pup in there remained safe. The syringe that had fallen from her h*and was lying nearby. She picked it up and aimed it at Rosalie. She threw it like a dart and it wedged itself in her lungs. Now someone had to plunge the liquid inside and that would incapacitate Rosalie.

River knew that Lycans were more powerful than the werewolves. So all she had to do was keep Rosalie busy until she got tired. When Rosalie attacked her for the second time, swiping her claws at her, River dodged and jumped to the side. Furious, Rosalie swung her fist and it connected with River’s snout. She whined and tasted blood in her m*outh. Rosalie attacked her again and this time she connected with River’s ribs as River leapt on her fore limbs. River let out a loud shrill and was thrown back.

“I am going to k*ill you, River,” Rosalie growled in an animalistic voice.

“Not before I k*ill you!” A very loud growl emanated, shaking the windows and pillars of the room they were fighting in.

Rosalie winced and turned sharply to see that Hunter’s Lycan was standing a few meters away, his c*hest rising and falling, his eyes blazing with fury. “A-Alpha!”

Soon every other warrior in their Lycan form came to stand behind him. Elijah’s beast rushed to Mia and lifted her in his arms and rushed out.

Rosalie was outnumbered. She knew that if she stayed in her beast form, she would be attacked immediately. She shifted back to her human form.

Hunter was boiling like lava. “You have done enough damage. It’s time you pay for your crimes.” His eyes went to his mate. He strode to her and lifted Gia in his arms. He stroked her fur and murmured, “I am sorry, love…” He h*anded Gia to his warriors and turned his attention back to Rosalie.
