He sighed when Kathie was out of sight. He shook his head in disbelief, wondering what sort of life he had been living for the past few days over here.
Back home, nobody dared to mess with Oscar or talk to him in a disrespectful manner. They could hardly even look into his eyes but it was not the same here. Almost everyone had zero respect for him. and treated him like s****t. He could not believe he was facing all of these humiliations because of Victoria. Sighing, he tucked his hands in his pocket, then proceeded to her office.
Kathie was discussing something with Vicky but she stopped when he entered the office.
“I will see you later.” She picked up a file from Vicky’s table and proceeded towards the exit, giving Oscar a stern look as she made her way out.
“You want to see me?!” He smirked, taking steps towards her desk area.
“Sit!” She gestured to the visitor’s chair opposite her.
Oscar obeyed, comfortably taking his seat.
“You sent Bessie to harass me, Didn’t you?”
“I see. Your assistant definitely has a big mouth.”
“Really? You would stoop so low by colliding with my junior staff to humiliate me?”
“Stop overthinking. Your accusation is false. Bessie has nothing to do with all of these.”
“She is a good person so I would be careful of what to say to her if I were you.”
“A good person? You must really know her to vouch for her.”
“Yeah, not that it is any of your concern but I reached out to her to help me out but she declined. Anything she does, She is doing it for her personal self. She loves that your p****y and would do anything for him. So I would stay away from him if I were you.”
Vicky couldn’t help but glare at Oscar. “What do you want from me?”
“What do you mean?”
“Let us be realistic. You did not become a Board member in this company just because you have an interest in marketing firms.”

“What do you want, Oscar!” She glared at him but he did not say anything.
“I do not know you for being a coward so please do not start now.”
“You have issues with me, and here I am in front of you. I am giving you the audience you have been asking for. Here Lam. Say everything to my face.”
“I am the one you have got issues with. Leave this f****g company away from it.”
“Oh, so now you want to talk?”
“Yes!”

Oscar was quiet, thinking of how to start the conversation. He had been waiting for the day she was going to grant him an audience and now that the day was here, he had no idea how to pull through.

“If your intention is to annoy me, then I suggest you f****g take your leave. I LEFT YOU? Are you literally trying to play with my feelings?”
“Do I need you to remind me that you literally shooed me out of the company? You fired me, humiliated me before your staff and your wife, and made me homeless.”
“You are a devil Oscar and G***d knows that you do not deserve to sit in front of me.”
“You ruined me all because I agreed to be in a Secret relationship with you! You literally proposed to me a few days before you showed up with your wife at the office.”
“You chased me off my apartment because it was the company’s property. Your mother humiliated me and almost hurt someone so precious to me and you’re here blaming me like it is all my fault? You are nothing but a beast!”
Oscar frowned. “Who chased you away from the apartment?”
“Really? You want to pretend as though you do not know what I am talking about?”
“I do not know what you are talking about.”
“And what do you mean my mother humiliated you and almost hurt someone precious to you.”
“You cannot be serious by wanting to act all innocent. Who the hell do you think you are?!”
“I’m not acting all innocent. What you are saying just doesn’t make any sense to me.”
“I called you here because I am tired of you b****g me. The way you behaved at the cafe, it was as if I wronged you and hurt you when in fact you were the one who ruined me.”
“I am no fool not to know that you bought shares here just to be my boss, have the power to control me and ruin me again. I really do not know what other motives you have but you’ve got to stop this and go back to your country.”
“How can you say or do these things, I thought you trusted me?”
“Trusted you? You dare talk about TRUST? I woke up one morning to the news that you are f*****g getting married to the love of your life. I was low-key excited that it was going to be me only to realize that it was one h****e you were screwing. Do you know how much they hurt me?”
“You are missing something.” He said in a warmer voice, trying to calm her down.”
Before Vicky could say anything, Oscar interrupted. “I never stopped loving you, Vicky.”
“Please, I do not want to hear that.”
“You may not believe me but something came up. The company was in some kind of mess and the only solution was to get married to Ingrid!”
“I hope you know that I am no fool. You do not expect me to believe that!”
“It may seem hard for you to believe but that is the truth.”
“Look, it does not matter what I believe or what the truth is. It is all in the past and the deed has been. done. Just leave me and this company alone and go back to America.”
“Yeah, probably, but I am here already. So I might just say everything.”
“I do not have time for all your talks, Oscar! It was probably a bad idea telling my assistant to call you in here.”.
“Do not be a coward and just listen to me, please.”

“How do I say this?” Oscar mumbled to himself, finding the right way to start the apology since he was someone that was not used to apologizing.
“The company was in a very deep financial mess and only Ingrid’s family could get us out of it and the only solution was to marry her.”
“What?!” She said in disbelief.
“Yes! You know my family. Our integrity was paramount. Letting the world know we were going bankrupt was not a good thing at all. So I had to do what needed to be done.”
“Yeah, I was stu pid for not handling it well.”
“I could have carried you along about the issue instead of acting like you did not matter to me at all.”
“But again, my mom got to know about our relationship.”
“She did? How?”
“I honestly do not know. You and I were definitely not going to be a secret thing forever but the plan was to open up to her when the time was right. I do not know how she got to know about it.”
“It got her really mad and she began to threaten you in my face.”
“Of course, you were really special to me. She knew you were my weakness, then decided to use the situation to her advantage.”
“She was really outraged by the fact that I proposed to you already. She was ready to humiliate you and paint you as an evil staff who found her way into my heart but I pleaded for her not to.”
“I know how evil my mother could be. So I had to give in to her terms for your safety.”
“I was to marry Ingrid and that meant not having anything to do with you.”
“She told me you were no longer going to work in the company. I did everything I could to change her mind but being the witch she naturally is, she was totally against it.”
“She said you being a staff in the company still gives you access to me and she does not want that.”
“She promised she was not going to do anything else to you as long as I break up with you and fire you. from the company.”
“I was shocked to get to your place and was told you had moved out.”
“Stop playing pranks on me, Oscar. You ordered them to chase me out of the apartment.”
“I didn’t. I had nothing to do with it. The security told me you left with your things and even most of your furniture was gone. He said you moved them.”
“If I had known that witch was going to chase you away, I would have arranged for a place to stay for you.”
“I knew how much you loved your job and how hard you served the company well. I was really sad about you getting fired so I spoke to Greg, my best friend who offered to help by employing you in his company.”
