Chapter 5: Gang Battle

After the lady recorded his name, Sunless entered the fight arena.

The place was a very spacious arena that could accommodate more than 5000 people, and far off in the distance, there were five people seated with masks of different sizes and features on their faces.

The five subconsciously radiated an extremely tense, deadly pressure that caused most of the audience to glance at them occasionally.

It was truly a gruesome fight, and after five more grueling minutes, the muscular youth emerged victorious.

The moment the fight ended, the crowd erupted into cheers.

“Good one, Jaqie Chain!” someone from the crowd praised loudly.

The muscular youth seemed to hear it and flashed a smile in Sunless’ direction.

Although, with how unrecognizable his face was, the smile looked more like he was squeezing his face tightly.

Sunless noticed a slightly fat man climb onto the stage.

“The next fight is between the two second-in-command gang leaders!”

“Woohoo…” Instantly, the excitement everyone felt bubbled over.

It was very rare for gang members to fight, not to mention second-in-command gang leaders.

They were basically the leaders of their respective gangs!

“First is Leonardo of the Black Eagle Gang.” Ignoring the murmurs and discussions of the crowd, the announcer continued.

At his words, a man stood up.

“Fuck him inside out and bring me his head.”

“Yes, boss!” The second-in-command felt a throbbing sensation in his heart as he stood up respectfully, his gaze briefly lingering on her bulging chest.

’This is my moment to impress the boss. I must take advantage of it!’ David thought with a smirk as he hurried toward the stage.

The image of his hot boss replayed in his mind repeatedly.

In the blink of an eye, Sunless watched as both gang members reached the center of the stage.

He could not deny that his attention was piqued as well.

How would this play out?

He noticed David unsheathe a sword from his side.

Holding it up, he stared intently at Leonardo.

Leonardo reached behind his back and retrieved something that looked like a dagger.

He jolted it slightly, causing it to extend until it reached the length of a long, slender sword.

Holding it up, he stared at David and offered a grin.

“Well then…” He glanced toward the official, who announced the commencement of the match before leaving the stage.

With the two men left on stage…

They stared at each other and slowly approached as the tension heightened throughout the arena.

Soon, they were facing each other.

With a light smirk curling at the corner of his lips, David attacked without hesitation.

His sword moved at swift speed, causing the air to rustle slightly as the blade headed straight for Leonardo’s head.

Clang!

Leonardo had expected the attack, and without hesitation, his long sword moved just as fast and blocked it.

Both men held each other’s gaze, small sparks flying from their swords before they separated slightly.

Then, without hesitation, both attacked once more.

This time, Leonardo took the initiative and swiftly slashed toward David’s ribs.

David’s eyes went wide, and he retreated at once.

The force behind Leonardo’s attack was so great that David could tell the moment he was struck, he would most likely be cleaved in two.

The sword brushed past him at a hair’s breadth before moving again.

Twisting midair like a snake, Leonardo’s sword pierced forward, hurling toward David’s ribs.

David blocked it without hesitation, but the impact forced him back several steps.

An embarrassed expression appeared on his face.

Taking a brief glance at his boss seated not too far away, his chest tightened when he noticed her disappointed expression.

Her eyes were narrowed as she slowly shook her head.

David’s heart skipped a beat.

Turning back to Leonardo, he gritted his teeth and charged, putting his full body into the attack.

Stunned, Leonardo swung his sword wildly, but David dodged in time and slashed toward Leonardo’s legs.

The sword struck the ground as Leonardo leapt into midair.

Taking advantage of his lack of balance, David threw a punch toward him.

With no footing, Leonardo could only raise both arms defensively to block the blow.

However, it was a feint, and at some point, David’s sword had returned to his grasp, thrusting forward in a swift motion!
