Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Masked Man and Infinite Wall
In his mind a thought was coming at this time; the thought was Inazagi.
He can’t think of another move because he was shocked at this moment to see this type of form can be done by a dragon.
But the dragon was ready to release his beast bomb to kill him instantly for his madness.
Then he realized it was a trick of the magician; he was not so dumb. The magician knew that if the bomb hit him, then he would die at this moment.
He also knew that was a new type of attack, so if he tried to counter it, then he would die for sure.
The cleverness of the magician was really praiseworthy.
Meantime, the bomb went to hit him.
He will cover himself with his magical cloak. It’s a technique of magicians, but few can do this. That position makes the cloak work like an infinite wall. The wall is hard like stone and can’t be broken by anything until the user opens it.
About Infinite Wall—
Legends speak of hundreds of great defenses created by warriors, kings, and guards through the centuries. But none are as mysterious, awful, and revered as the Infinite Wall, a magical barrier so absolute that only the rarest magicians have ever been able to call upon it.
The Infinite Wall is no shield constructed of stone, steel, or even elemental power. It is woven from the very fabric of magic itself, summoned by the secret art of the Magical Cloak.
The Infinite Wall cannot be observed in its natural state. To the naked eye, it appears to be no more than a faint flash of light in the air, a heat haze that floats above a desert.
Few are able to view it in its proper form, an endless length of crystal energy that distorts space itself.
It is said that the Infinite Wall, brought up previously, not only repels invaders but also drains their energy, diffusing all blows into nothing as if the attack had never been launched.
The power of the Infinite Wall is irrevocably intertwined with the Magical Cloak a cloak not of fabric, but of mana strands funneled into it. Only magicians of the finest caliber, those that have learned to weave their own essence into fabric, can make or wear such cloaks.
When a magician wraps himself in his cloak, he commingles his self with the Infinite Wall. The cloak acts as a bridge, bringing the invisible barrier out of the void and wrapping it around the body of the magician.
Powered, the Infinite Wall bursts outward, an impassable dome of protection. No sword can pierce it. No flame can ignite it. No curse can pass through. It is, in every way, a wall without end.
Though the Infinite Wall is the pinnacle of magical defenses, it too has its weaknesses. The wall itself does not wear away as might be expected—it does not shatter, crack, or weaken with use.
Its cost is instead measured in the life force of the wizard. The longer the wall is kept standing, the more life and mana it drains from its creator.
All the tales warn against overambitious magicians who attempted to keep the wall up too long. Even though their enemies didn’t destroy them, their bodies themselves dried up within the cloak, to be discarded in a husk.
Thus, the Infinite Wall isn’t an unearned gift but a gamble with life itself. Only the wise, those who understand balance how to call it and how to relinquish it can truly use its power.
The history of the Infinite Wall is shrouded in ancient legend. Some credit that it was discovered initially by a traveling wizard who survived the wrath of a dragon’s fire by chance when he curled up his cloak into the wall by instinct.
Others say that it was the gods themselves that gifted the wall to humanity as an ultimate line of defense against the demons of old.
Regardless of what is true, this is one fact: the Infinite Wall is exceedingly rare. Each generation may only have one or two magicians who have the power to awaken it. Wars were fought and kingdoms preserved just because one cloaked person conjured the wall at the moment of greatest need.
Armies who marched so confidently once were reduced to dust when their greatest weapons were devoured by the unforgiving silence.
To the enemies, the Infinite Wall is a nightmare. It deprives them of their greatest strength the power to destroy.
To friends, it is hope, a promise that even in the face of overwhelming power, survival is an option.
There are stories, though, of darker uses. A magician who distorts the Infinite Wall to trap, rather than defend, can trap his victims in a cycle of eternal stasis.
He is trapped inside and lost to the world, as if devoured by nothing. Whether or not this is real or myth, no one knows, but the fear it inspires makes few willing to dare challenge a magician who wears the cloak.
The Infinite Wall is not only defense but also proof of magic’s final limit. It is a reminder that protection has a cost, that total power requires total sacrifice.
To the handful of magicians who can summon it, the wall is both a blessing and a curse. To employ it is to be unreachable, but to risk one’s very essence with each pulse of the heart.
Few spells or artifacts in the history of magic are even close to its reputation. The Infinite Wall is eternal—an endless wall of silence, ready to resurface whenever the cloak is cinched.
Now back to the story:
When the magician activated this infinite wall, the dragon was fully shocked, and his mind was blank. He can’t think of what he will do next.
The magician from his cloak, with the technique of the Infinity Wall, thought he would use his final move of using Izanagi.
He blinks his eyes and performs by saying “Izanagi Active.”After a few seconds, he said that he changed the whole reality from when the dragon made his beast bomb.
He changed the situation of that time and showed it like when the dragon made his bomb, the magician used visual prowess, then he looked at the dragon’s eyes and manipulated him. The reality changed totally as he wanted.
Then he fully gets control over the dragon and achieves what he wanted. Now his project was strongly at its peak. When he controlled the dragon, he added him to his summoned monster.
For that, he used the dragon in any place where he was present by summoning him.
This thing was really the worst for villagers. Because poor villagers didn’t know about what destruction was coming for them.
After this the magician thought that if he attacked the village or villagers, he would get caught for his face and dress because everyone knows him well.
For that reason, he will decide that he will change himself in a different way so that no one can recognize him.
Now he changed his whole getup, his dress, and wore a mask on his face.
He practiced and trained the dragon for the next ten days on how to spread destruction and cruelty everywhere by his fire and power.
The dragon followed him totally because he was controlled by him and also manipulated.
After ten days the magician decided to show the glimpse of his project rule to villagers at night. He chose night because he knew all poor villagers were sleeping on this night, so easily he will destroy the village and take all magicians’ powers.
His thought became action, and at night he went to the littlest village of magicians.
Magicians have some of the villages for their living because magicians and warriors lived on two sides of the city.
The magician went to the middle of the village and, using his summoning power, summoned his powerful weapon, the killing machine dragon.
When the dragon appeared, he shouted very loudly, and the village was going to shake from his roaring. All the villagers, like men, women, and children, become scared; they can’t understand what’s happening now.
Then the magician summoned his magical cloak to fly, then sat on the back of the dragon and ordered him to fly and took him to the other side of the village, so he could spy on the condition of the village after they heard the shouting of the dragons.
Then he reached the sky side of the village and saw everyone was running from one side to another.
He shouted and told them to stop; everyone stopped to see him with the dragon, but no one recognized him.
One of the strong magicians asked him,
“Who are you?,
and why did you come here with this,
Also with monster dragon?”
The demon magician replied with a laugh,
“Hahaha,
ahahaha,
you can call me masked man.
I am the ruler of the world and god of your faith.
I will kill all of you and destroy your village now; after this,
I will take all your powers and become stronger.”
All the villagers said, “But why are you doing all this to us?” We are innocent, and in our village there are women and children also; don’t harm them, leave us lonely in our condition.
But the magician continuously laughed at them, but he couldn’t notice that there was a middle-aged boy who saw all these things from far away, from the village, and suddenly…
