His cool hand petted her. Si Shuo froze for a moment, and before her mind could catch up, her body instinctively rubbed against his palm.

She bit her own hand. The sharp pain pulled her back to her senses. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at him.

Ji Liang withdrew his hand with a hint of regret. With a trace of grievance in his voice, he began to complain, enunciating each word, “Little Shuoshuo, does your sister not want to see you happy?”

“She was bad-mouthing you right in front of me! So what if a female’s fertility is low? We’re not Wild Beasts, coupling just for the sake of procreation!”
