Chapter 346: Caelum’s Rage

The door slammed shut behind them with a deafening echo, sealing off their escape and trapping Caelum and his last remaining soldier in a nightmarish chamber.

The young man, clad in cracked armor, stood trembling beside his commander. His eyes held fear, not bravery.

The chamber stretched around them, walls soaring to a dizzying vaulted ceiling.

Every surface shimmered like polished glass, reflecting not just their images but multiplying them endlessly.

Torchlight fractured into a dazzling array of beams, creating an almost hallucinogenic display that left them disoriented like stepping into the mind of a madman.

“Young Master, what is this place?” the soldier croaked, raising his weapon hesitantly.

He took a step forward.

Darts whistled toward them in a lethal rain, streaming out of hidden slots within the mirrored walls.

Caelum shoved his young soldier forward as makeshift protection.

The soldier screamed as darts pierced his armor and tore into flesh.

“Useless! All of you!” Caelum spat bitterly, watching the life drain from the boy’s eyes.

The walls groaned ominously,panels shifted and spun. Blades emerged within the mirrors with terrifying speed circular saws whirring to life, carving deadly grooves into the floor as they advanced inward.

The chamber had transformed into an unforgiving deathtrap of slicing steel.

Adrenaline surging through him, Caelum moved instinctively.

He ducked beneath one blade and rolled across the floor just as another swept overhead.

A spinning disc caught his shoulder pain shot through him as flesh tore away. He roared but pressed on, the reflections disorienting him further with every move.

“Do you think you’ve beaten me?” he snarled at those mocking images surrounding him.

His voice echoed back distorted, a chorus of defiance against despair. “I will not die here!”

Fueled by rage and desperation, he charged at one wall and slammed his bloodied fist against it.

The mirror cracked under impact. Shards flew outward like deadly confetti, but behind it lay only stone,no escape in sight.

The chamber erupted with a relentless barrage.

Darts hissed out of hidden slots, embedding themselves into his thigh, ribs, and side,he staggered, vision swirling like a storm.

Blood soaked through his armor, clinging to him like a second skin.

His body trembled under the weight of gaping wounds, pain screaming through every nerve ending.

He looked less like a commander and more like a beast dragged through the chaos of battle.

Yet still, his eyes burned with defiance.

“That bastard,” he growled, spitting blood onto the cold floor.

His voice was raw, stripped of arrogance and composure, leaving only pure hatred behind.

“This is your doing. You sent me here to suffer,to bleed,to crawl.”

The chamber seemed to mock him in return. Every reflection mirrored his agony as if they too were trapped in this nightmare, bloodshot eyes glaring back at him.

With sheer determination, he pressed on, narrowly dodging another spinning blade that whirred past him.

The steel grazed his cheek, slicing open flesh and sending blood spraying across the mirror a vivid splash of red staining his own reflection.

He stumbled and fell to one knee,for just a heartbeat, it felt easier not to rise again.

But fury surged within him like wildfire,he forced himself upright despite the pooling blood beneath him and weaved between the deadly blades once more.

With a powerful slam against another mirrored wall, he shattered its surface, fragments raining down like lethal glass shards.

There it was a narrow gap, a glimmer of hope.

He staggered through it,each movement sent waves of agony coursing through him, every breath feeling like fire in his lungs.

As he passed by the last blade, it caught him across the back, tearing flesh open anew.

Pain blinded him for an instant but fueled his resolve as he stumbled onward, refusing to succumb.

The chamber expelled him into another dark corridor.

Collapsing against the wall, blood cascaded down his body while ragged breaths escaped his lips.

He appeared less human now and more like a corpse refusing to lie down peacefully.

Slowly lifting his head, wild eyes scanned the darkness. His face twisted into something unrecognizable a mask of anguish and rage.

“Bastard…” he whispered weakly, voice breaking under the weight of venomous words.

“BASTARD…!”

His roar echoed through the passageway – not just a commander’s call but the primal scream of a man consumed by hate.

A man who had lost everything: soldiers who fought beside him, pride that once stood tall, sanity now frayed but lived on solely because rage refused to let him die.

As he dragged himself forward step by agonizing step, the walls smeared with blood where he’d clawed at them, this beast should have been put down long ago yet continued crawling onward instead.

The corridor loomed ahead, swallowing him whole as he staggered deeper into the tomb.

His broken body moved almost on instinct, but his mind was ablaze with a single, relentless thought.

The image of that bastard pulsed through his brain like fire in his veins, hot, toxic, and feeding a rage that refused to let him falter.

How long would this endless passage stretch? He didn’t care. All that mattered was the next step forward,he would keep walking.

All that was left inside of him currently is rage,anger,deep murderous intent grained in his bones and blood.

He came to this tomb in order to have a standing in his family, in order to be able to protect his mother and sister.

He wants to be qualified and fight for his place in his family.

But fate played cruel joke on him, he lost everything in this tomb,everything, his fate have completely changed because of one person.

Just thinking about filled Caelum’s eyes with rage and tears,his eyes were bloodshot the kind of eyes that boils with the rage of hell itself.
