“Yesterday at four, along with the imperial edict issued at Mount Lu in China,” Lu Yinghua replied, cautiously glancing at Luo Hao’s expression. Seeing no reaction, he continued.

“Oh, it must have been a tough journey for you. Rushing all the way from China to Nikko City in Japan within half a day is no easy feat.” Haru’s gaze softened, acknowledging Lu Yinghua’s efforts.

“Enough with the unnecessary chatter! King of Japan, choose your method of death!” Luo Hao stared directly at Haru, her voice cold and clear. She raised her hand slightly, her internal energy slowly circulating within her body.

“How about dying in your bed?” Haru grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“Insolent fool!” With a furious shout, Luo Hao’s palms struck out, passing through space silently, carrying enough force to shatter space. Her pristine white hands sunk slightly into Haru’s chest.

A spectral image of a nimble monkey, riding atop the shadow of Fafnir, swirled around Haru’s body. It was a power born from the fusion of Sun Wukong’s and Siegfried’s Authorities – impenetrable skin and bones combined with the immortal body of steel. The fusion pushed the resilience of Haru’s body to levels unimaginable to ordinary mortals.

Yet, even this steel-like body was wounded by Luo Hao’s palms, though the injury was only a few millimeters deep. But then again, Luo Hao hadn’t even exerted a fraction of her true strength.

Looking at the delicate hands embedded in his chest, Haru suddenly reached out and grabbed them. The Authority of the Mountain activated. His body was imbued with the strength of a Mountain itself, and with unparalleled force, he pulled Luo Hao into his arms.

The entire sequence of actions took only about two seconds.

Lu Yinghua and Toujou Miki stared in stunned silence at the pair, now intimately embraced. The swiftness of the exchange and the overwhelming amount of information contained within those movements left their minds struggling to process what they had just witnessed.

Haru caressed the beautiful face of the woman in his arms, his hands, amplified by immeasurable strength, holding her tightly. “A deathmatch is no fun. Let’s have a sparring match with a wager.”

Indeed, Haru was smitten. Looking at the beautiful woman in his arms, her brow furrowed with anger, he felt a surge of desire. Perhaps this infatuation had begun in his past life, directed towards the most beautiful woman in China, the one who stood at the pinnacle of martial arts.

‘Is that the Vajrapani?’ Haru furrowed his brow, his mind focusing intently. His aura flared, and the surrounding blood and skeletons were blown away by an invisible pressure, crashing against the black stone houses with a clatter.

“Hmph!” Luo Hao snorted delicately, then suddenly moved. Her figure was like a giant crocodile leaping from the water. She crossed the thirty-meter distance in the blink of an eye, arriving before Haru. Her hand whipped out, trailing a faint golden light, aiming a backhand strike at him.

Despite her incredible speed, surpassing the sound barrier like the most advanced supersonic fighter jet, her movements were silent, not even a whisper of wind betraying her approach.

The whip-like strike descended. Bang! Only at the moment of impact did the air explode with a sound like a tire bursting.

Despite the sheer force behind the attack, only a single sound marked its execution.

Thud! The strike landed on Haru’s body. Circular ripples spread through the air, and a heavy drumming sound resonated.

Haru’s pupils constricted. Luo Hao’s lightning-fast movements were too quick for his nerves to react. In a flash of thought, he activated multiple Authorities, enduring the strike. Looking at Luo Hao, now inches away, he shifted his weight to his tailbone, taking a step back with his right foot, his body leaning forward slightly. He threw a powerful right punch towards her face, holding back three-tenths of his strength. Simultaneously, his left fist, held loosely, aimed for her abdomen.

This was a deceptive technique from traditional karate. The right fist was a feint, while the seemingly weak left fist held the true killing blow.

But the strike missed! Luo Hao’s figure reappeared thirty meters away. If not for the imprint of her hand on his chest, Haru would have thought the previous exchange was a hallucination.

She must have used some kind of teleportation technique like the Shrinking Ground to an Inch. Haru thought. This kind of technique is very useful in battle. 

“Are you mocking me?” Luo Hao asked, her face dark, her voice cold and heavy with killing intent.
