Recognition dawned in Ophidia’s eyes, and with it, pure, unadulterated terror.

Her blood ran cold. The director’s meeting. Yu Xiang’s chilling words flashed through her mind like a brand of hot iron. ’He will claim what is his. And you will all be his to use as he pleases. When he calls for you, you will come or he will get your asses instead.’

She hadn’t thought it would be like this. She thought… she didn’t know what she thought.

But she hadn’t expected to walk into the very heart of the shark tank she’d been warned about.

“I… Professor… wait,” she stammered, her voice a reedy squeak. “A student complained, but… I didn’t…”

Her words died in her throat as a second figure pushed past her, bursting into the room with righteous fury.

Yuna.

“Professor Ophidia!” Yuna yelled, pointing a trembling finger at Tianlong. “Seize him! The new professor is assaulting Professor Xiang! You already have the proof! Complain to the Director right now!”

Professor Ophidia looked from the furious cat-girl to the two people she had interrupted. She saw Xiang, whose gaze was now fixed on her with the promise of a slow and painful death.

She saw Tianlong. Everything that Xing had told her about him caused her hands to slowly slip forward to cover herself, her fingers brushing over the scale pattern of the dress she wore. Her face flushed as she recalled how he had been too lewd.
