Chapter 65: Looming Danger

When Xavier was having a meeting with Angel in the club, something else was happening in Dominic’s residence.

Maximilian was sitting on the toilet seat with a bruised face. He was holding his phone in his hand, gripping it tightly. It was almost shaking.

Moans echoed in the room as his eyes reflected what he was watching on the screen. Yes, it was porn, but of his girlfriend and Xavier.

Xavier had sent him the video as soon as he bought the new phone.

Maximilian was fuming, so much so that he could crush the phone with his cybernetic hand.

He wanted to smash the phone, to look away from the video, but he simply couldn’t take his eyes off the screen. He watched how Xavier had fucked his girlfriend and how she moaned. Not only had Xavier recorded everything and sent it to him, but he also creampied her.

Xavier had also taken a close-up shot of Cindy sucking and cleaning his dick off after receiving a creampie.

“That son of a bitch!” He shouted in anger. “How dare he touch Cindy! I will kill him! I will kill him now!”

Just as he finished watching the video, Xavier sent him a message.

Of course, Xavier had only done it with Cindy once, and that too out of necessity— although that was not a part of his plan but it worked better than he had imagined— he had decided that he wasn’t going to fuck any other girls he didn’t already know.

“I will kill him! I will ask Lucas and others for help!” After a pause of realization, he muttered, “But… What am I going to tell them? I can’t tell them that he fucked Cindy, or I will lose my pride. Yeah, they definitely cannot know about this. Wait… what if that village rat sent them the video, too?”

Maximilian was planning to kill Xavier, but when he looked at his reflection in the mirror and saw the bruises on his face, he recalled the beating he had received from Dominic this morning after they got home from the prison.

Dominic punched him and used belt to whip him. And it was because of his mother interfering that he was saved. Otherwise, there would have been a few more bruises on his face.

Maximilian deleted the video and went to his room. He lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. He pondered for a while and grabbed his phone again.

His dick was hard, so he turned on porn, but he wasn’t feeling it.

With a frustrated sigh, he opened the bin on his phone to recover the porno of Cindy and Xavier he had deleted. And there, he saw a few other files, including the one Xavier had deleted in his phone.

He recalled he had turned on the recording when he was in the prison to kill Xavier, and out of curiosity, he recovered that file as well. Just like Xavier had predicted.

Maximilian played the video and by the time he reached halfway, his face had turned pale. He immediately rushed to Dominic’s room and knocked on his door.

Dominic, who hadn’t slept in the night because of Xavier and the day because Bull had died, opened the door with an annoyed look on his face. He thought it would be his wife, but after seeing Maximillian at the door, he closed it again.

“Dad! Wait! You have to watch this!” he pleaded as he knocked on the door again.

“I don’t have time for you bullshit! Let me sleep or I will break your neck!”

“No, dad! Xavier was lying! He didn’t kill Bull in self defence! I have got everything on the video! Although there is no footage of it, the audio is crisp and clear!”

A second later, Dominic opened the door and let Maximillian in.

Dominic watched the video and his face turned pale as he realized how Xavier had played him. But he was also happy to know where Bull had hidden the treasure.

He immediately called Alexander Sterling— Ethan’s father— and as soon as the phone was answered, he said, “Alex. I am sending you this video! You like collecting stuff, right?!”

[What is it, Dominic? I am in the middle of a deal.]

“This is urgent! It’s about Bull’s treasure. We have found a clue!” Dominic shortened the story of the video and told Alexander everything.

[This could all be a false alarm, Dominic. Still, send your men to the black market and get that box. But what makes you think that the kid hasn’t gotten the box yet?]

“There is no way someone with no background can get access to the black market this fast. I watched the video, and it was clear that it was his first time even learning of the black market’s existence. But we have got to hurry. We can’t laze around. That kid is a fucking nightmare!”

[I never thought I would see a day when someone like you would be afraid of a kid of your son’s age. Come on, Dominic. Have some shame.]

“I don’t care about all that! Listen, I am helping you out with the treasure here, so make sure you do me a favor and get rid of the son of a bitch!”

[That’s already been taken care of. As soon as we get our hands on all the evidence, no one will even find his body. I have already hired a space mercenary to give him a painful death.]

“Whoa! A space mercenary? Isn’t that going too far? Just a random third grade hitman would do the job just fine.”

[Yeah. I called them for that. I have found a perfect spot to build the resting station. It’s Beast Land. But there are too many filthy animals living there, so I am getting them razed off the map. I can’t tell you much in detail over the phone, so let’s talk when we celebrate.]

“Yeah! To that village rat’s death! And your project!”

Just a few hours later, Dominic had sent someone to fetch the black box from the black market.

However, Xavier had taken care of that too.

Jason was an underworld champion and he had connections to many syndicates and powerful mafia bosses, who ran the black market business from earth’s side.

With their help, Jason had found the guy Dominic had sent. And after beating some sense to that guy, Jason had handed him the box.

When Dominic heard the news that the box was successfully retrieved, he was overjoyed. He had already contacted a professional who unlocked the box using the encryption key they had gotten from the video.

“So this is the place, huh?” Dominic parked his car at the hotel.

He had brought a team of fifty people with him and ordered them to search the area.

“Every room! Tell them it’s an emergency and we have received an order to search the hotel. If anyone dares to stop you, just detain them and file them with false charges.”

The search continued for hours, and the officers searched the entire hotel. The hotel was big and fifty officers weren’t enough, but Dominic had threatened them that he would fire anyone who slacked off.

When Dominic knocked on the door of one room, he was speechless to see his wife opening the door.

“Stacey?! What are you doing here?!” He asked with a baffled look on his face.

“What about you? What’s going on? Why are there so many officers around?”

“Answer me first! Don’t tell me you are cheating on me!” Without waiting for Stacie’s explanation, Dominic barged inside the room.

He took out his gun and inspected the room thoroughly. From the closet, to the bathroom, under the bed, balcony, everything. But no one was there.

“Where is he?!” he shouted.

“What the hell are you talking about? You already know my museum is right next to this hotel. I sometimes check in here when we get requests for VIP client visits to visit the museum.” She responded with an oblivious look on her face.

“And when I don’t feel like going home.” She immediately added.

Dominic was confused.

Why, of all the places, the location had to be this hotel? Was it truly a coincidence? He couldn’t be sure.

After sweeping the hotel for a few more hours, the officers found nothing.

’Impossible! It has to be here! The black box was in the black market, so there are no chances of… wait… what if… no…’ He shook his head.

“I am thinking too much. I am a cop, so my mind overthinks all the time. It’s a blessing. We might have gotten the wrong location. The longitude and altitude must not be matching.”

“Hmm.” Dominic hummed as he pondered. “If anything, the chances of the treasure or whatever Bull was calling it, there is more chance of it being in the Museum instead of the hotel. The museum is filled with treasures, so Bull must have hidden it there. I guess, I will have to convince Stacey to let us search the museum.”

Meanwhile, far away at the Beast Land, a spaceship loomed over. And the leader of the space gang, a Lion-like man, watched the Beast Land from the transparent window of the ship.

“Let’s go! Lion is here to eat some prey.”
