Koya blinked as Mirei walked to the far end of the living room where there were shelves and placed the books there normally.

“Why do you look so surprised? I didn’t even need to use my skill for that one or most of them for that matter.” Mirei said as she returned to the table and placed the package on it, unraveling it and revealing several bowls and packs of food that could easily cost around thirty thousand Individual Points… “I actually had these ordered from the Kitchen that makes the food where us Class 1 nobles eat so naturally it costs a lot of Individual Points and I hope you eat with me, Koya-kun.”

“W… Why did you order expensive stuff?” He asked. “We could have gone with normal stuff from the Cafateria.”

Her face looked alarmed.

“B-but I read and heard that for the first date, you had to try extra hard and make things extra expensive so that the person likes you.” Mirei replied while turning to him and he chuckled.

“Sure…” He said and they focused on the TV as the theme song started playing on the TV alongside with the characters moving across the screen according to what Mirei could see.

And that was how it started… They ate and watched anime, finishing the Episode 1 and going onto Episode 2 however halfway through it, Mirei couldn’t take it anymore.

Koya threw another punch and she blurred past it appearing behind his back and she brought down the blades watching as it dug into his shoulder, splattering his blood all over her face.

She felt the resistance of his flesh, the tear of the fabric, and an ecstatic thrill shot through her.

She was limited since this was her room but with this wound, she had the physical advantag—

Koya elbowed her with his free arm, landing a direct strike at her stomach and making her cough out blood again then he turned around, kicking her in the stomach.

The force was unrelenting. Before she could even regain her footing, he pivoted on his lead foot and spin kicked her across the face.

The impact launched her across the living room.

She hit the reinforced grey shutters of the window with a metallic boom that echoed through the entire apartment.

She slid to the floor, her body limp and trembling as her blood splattered in dark heavy droplets on the white carpet.

It was deep but he ignored the sting. He reached into his mind and prevented his Blessing skill from healing it. He needed this to look real.

‘Well we fought… If I step out of a Class 1 student’s room without injury then it’d be like I started up the attack.’ Koya thought.

He wasn’t a fool… Mirei was a high-ranking noble; if he left her room looking like he’d just had a peaceful lunch while she was a bloody mess, the Disciplinary committee would have a field day but with his own blood soaking his shirt, it was a different story.

He was simply defending himself.

Koya turned to the C6 robot, which was currently vibrating in a corner of the room with its sensors likely overloaded by the sudden violence.

“Give me my coat and disable this thing…” He said.

The robot bzzted in fear or whatever passed for it in a machine and complied. The suction hummed as it spat his coat back out, and the grey shutters retracted with a series of heavy clicks.

He donned back his coat on, letting it get a bit more bloodied with his own blood, the dark stains spreading across the expensive fabric, before walking out of Mirei’s room without a second glance.

Mirei on the other hand wasn’t faring so good. Her world was spinning, and her stomach felt like it had been put through a hydraulic press.

‘I was defeated so easily…’ She thought, the realization stinging more than the bruises.

Even though she was very good in close-combat, she hadn’t even been able to see him properly when he was attacking her.

The woman dislodged herself from the wall and looked at the crater that was self-repairing, the nanites in the wall hissing as they filled the gaps.

“I guess I have to go back to standard human procedures.” She muttered, her voice turning into a raspy whisper.

His blood was still over her face, cooling against her skin. It smelled different from the blood of the men she usually encountered.

‘Mother told me that we descended a bit from one of the clans that were from the early Apocalypse that liked blood…’ She thought.

She had tasted blood before during combat training and it was always disgusting but since it was Koya-kun’s blood then it couldn’t be bad right?

She licked the blood on her face, her long tongue wiping at her lips as she brought it back inside and swallowed only for her eyes to widen.
