There was a small note of tension as Kassie slammed her sword on the ground. Both of them stared at us, starting from me, who was at the center of everything.

They still didn’t seem to trust me, and continued to shake their heads frantically. Tristan’s expression in particular suggested he was already composing my eulogy.

Either way, I turned to the ladies in question and folded my hands.

They looked restrained. If I didn’t know better, I’d say somewhat tamed.

I stared between the two of them and sighed deeply.
