The young man in the chair was none other than Yan Bingyun. Upon discovering his visitors—two of which were dressed as members of the Qing court—he frowned. A cold atmosphere began to fill the room.

This cold atmosphere seemed to have awakened the crying girl on his lap. That young woman raised her head in surprise and looked at the people at the door. Wei Hua also walked over and gently urged her, “Miss Shen, please go back. If Sir Shen finds out, he will beat you to death.”
