The people over the radio seemed to have opened a feast for celebrating their success. It was a good time to strike.

They moved out of the tent and closed in on the hideout. The night-vision goggles showed where the guards were, hiding in the darkness and bushes. They were also pretty relaxed as they saw no signs of danger. Joonbum quietly approached one and slit the guard’s throat. The man moved frantically and tried to shout, but his mouth was covered and he soon fell lifeless. Jinpok also finished taking care of a guard on the other side and Doral moved past them quickly. He then threw a handaxe as he turned the corner and killed a man instantly. It was all done so quietly that no one in the hideout noticed what was going on.

As Joonbum opened the door inside, a man who was sitting by the fire turned.

“Who is it? It’s not time to change- ugh…”

He couldn’t continue as a sword was thrust into his chest. Another man who didn’t even turn around met the same fate as Joonbum hurled his sword at him. Joonbum then looked around. The wooden building was quite roomy.

-Are you done?-

Jinpok radioed to Joonbum.

Doral reported his kills and Jinpok ranted. Then Joonbum moved inside against the door to listen.

Joonbum heard the voice coming from inside and opened the door. It was a large hall where the priests and nobles were drinking while talking about how to punish the witch.

‘I will kill them all. There’s no other way.’

The room was full of smog from the lamps, and it smelled. Joonbum walked in.

An older man turned to look as he realized the person next to him was falling down, but a sword was thrust into his neck, killing him instantly. Joonbum pulled it out and moved onto the next man.

A man shouted in shock. It was Henderson. His eyes were wide open.

“I-intruder- argh…”

“ARGH!!!”

A scream was heard, but it wasn’t from the man. Henderson’s head had already been skewered by a handaxe. The man next to him was covered in blood and was shivering as he sat down on the ground. He couldn’t run as he was stricken with fear.

“GUARDS! GUARDS!”

Someone began to blow a whistle, asking for the guards. It was so loud that people close to him covered their ears.

“YOU! How dare you attack this holy place!”

It was a low and deep voice that boomed. Joonbum turned to the man.

“Block him!”

“Kill him!”

“It’s just one!”

Priests came running toward Joonbum with daggers. There was no mercy and kindness in the eyes of those priests. Joonbum then jumped. His large hand grabbed a young priest’s head and twisted it entirely. There was the sound of a neck bone breaking and the priest fell lifeless.

“Vito! You dirty dog! DIE!”

Other priests charged at Joonbum with rage but he pulled up the lifeless body to use it as a shield. The daggers that were supposed to penetrate Joonbum pierced the dead body.

“ARGH! DIE! DIE!”

They began to attack Joonbum frantically, but Joonbum snatched the man’s hand and twisted it, breaking the bones. He then used the dangling hand with a dagger to thrust it into another man’s chest.

“Argh…”

Joonbum kicked the dying man and jumped to another man.
