Chapter 98: defeat of Hedromus
“How did you—?”
****************************************************************************************************
“Prince Xerxez, there was unknown group was incoming in the border! Maybe they are Moonatorian soldiers!”
From the east…there was an incoming object crawling in the verdant valley. Echoing, with a rhythmic thud, covered in the haze.
“Moonatorian soldiers?” Matheros astonished. ” I told you, Moonatoria will come and will destroy us!” He then, walk in Hedromus location and grab his collar.
“Did he call a backup to rescue you?”
****************************************************************************************************
The Moonatorians soldiers agape terrifyingly, as they saw their king Hedromus was stab be the powerful dagger. They surrendered, without even resisting against Thallerion. King Hedromus was killed. His bestial form lay on the ground beneath on prince feet. He stood up, rising his dagger, with valorous stance. And, the unexpected incomer, was the group of Alexunther… rushing through the valley, together with warriors.
All Hail Xerxez!
The elders from Wendlock came, thinking that they could rescue them in the Moonatorian. They saw Xerxez standing atop of the bear triumphantly. Moonatoria under the agreement, followed the order to the Thallerion’s leaders. King Hedromus’s warrior, surrendered, and go back in Moonatoria.
The chains of tyranny, forged in the fires of King Hedromus’s cruel reign, lay shattered! Xerxez, the dawn-bringer, slew the night, allowing the radiant sunlight to once again drench Thallerion.
“No longer shall you grovel, no longer shall you be slaves! Cast aside the ropes that once bound you to the tyrant’s heavy carriage, for a new age dawns—an age of prosperity under a king most just!” Alexunther said to all Thallerion citizens.
The whispers of the Moonatorian king’s defeat echoed through the lands, turning the dreams of other nations into nightmares. Who could have foreseen that a mere youth would fell the “Fierce Bear,” as the Moonatorians had so grimly dubbed King Hedromus?
Like mushrooms, after a cleansing rain, rumors sprouted and spread across Thallerion. Was Xerxez, the next champion of Orion? Or was he the prophesied one, destined to reshape the very fabric of their world? Though the memories of yesterday’s sorrow faded, the gratitude of Thallerion burned bright. Every heart swelled with joy, for all that was stolen by the Moonatorians was now reclaimed!
Every Moonatorian soldier, every mercenary in the treacherous Bellatrix district, was driven from their soil, expelled without so much as a coin to their name!
“BEHOLD, citizens of Thallerion! Your new king! Call him from now on: KING XERXEZ.” He was appointed by the venerable council led by Matheros’s parents.
“Let the anthems of exaltation ring out!”
CLAP! CLAP!!
Thus began the glorious reign of Xerxez. With every fiber of his being, with every ounce of his soul, he poured himself into serving as an exemplary king. Under his guidance, the army of Thallerion swelled in strength, becoming a formidable force. His tactical brilliance, his unparalleled skill, garnered the respect and admiration of nations, far and wide.
The elders were give the right, to teach the spirit energy lesson, to make sure all soldiers were capable to fight with enough strength against nation with super entities.
“Xerxez!” The man voice echoed through the very confines of his mind, a daily herald that, depending on his waking mood, either grated with the persistence of an unwelcome clang or charmed with the familiarity of a mischievous chime. But no sooner did his eyes snap open to the light of day than the ethereal voice abruptly vanished, leaving him to ponder its purpose alone.
’Hmm, he wake me up again, like an alarm clock. Well… after I defeat King Hedromus, I start wondering….hmm….how the dagger, weakening the Ursa ability of king Hedromus? Is it because of electric shock, electrifying king Hedromus or something more with an unexplainable mystery?’
’Did Mr Martheuw Cereun was responsible for the beasts Ursa weakening? Mm, I have an assumption, it might be the dagger have something…related to the Orion’s weapons? Hmm.. Dagger of Orion was still a big question lingering on my head.’
Everyday, king Xerxez, stood on the palace’s protruding floor, gazing at the distant districts, his heart swelling with pride. He comfortably contemplated the gradual progress of the kingdom; even after the relentless wars of the past, Thallerion still managed to rise, like a phoenix reborn from ashes.
’Hmm, finally….our land was now at peace…But does not mean, we are forever secure from the invaders. Thallerion people back then, afraid to meddle with other countries, but now, look at us, after I defeated king Hedromus, other countries offer a new alliance…a stepping-stone for a new era in Thallerion, a time, where everyone will no longer be afraid, from the wrath of injustices.
“Your majesty, the land of Peronica, Thartherus, Vhorlandrus, and even Latheruz, wanted to be part of the alliance in Thallerion.” Said by his personal reporter, named Aghero.
“That’s great!” He said with a relief tone.
His eyes lovingly traced the cemented paths of the palace, a testament to enduring craftsmanship. The straight path stretched endlessly, a river of humanity flowing calmly through the Bellatrix Plaza, towards the Betelgeuse District.
’Finally, the Moonatorian beasts were now at peace…they were no longer bullying, nor trampled the weakest country under them. All nations, with no protector, offered thanks, at Thallerion. And now… many of them, wanted to be part of the alliance ….hmmm… That’s Good!’
Not far away, people could behold the towering Thallerion Palace, a majestic sentinel piercing the very sky.
’The people in Thallerion, learned to accept the visitors, offered them a good, hospitalization and mutual respects.
’Well…I believed…Being a gifted, or a Constellar-user…does not mean…you have to bully others or boast yourself because of the ability you have possesseds.’
’It all means… being a gifted… Is a responsibility to keep human alive. To survive humanity…from the scheme of death entity.’
’Speaking of Death-entity… What is it actually? Mortality? Death ? is that a power of that entity? Or… the inevitable destiny of life? An entity of fate, for all being?’
’If the true enemy is not the Constellar entity itself, then…why would the Constellar-user’s chosen nation…took advantages, to gain power, to gain authority. Some of them, lived with their own greediness… destroying other lives, oppressed weakling-bloods!’
“Your majesty, your mighty guards are now waiting at the palace door, for your personal tour at the districts.”
Aghero stood, inside the palace gate, waiting for the king, who seated on the throne, elegantly.
“Hmm, tell the visitors…The king of Thallerion were opt out for the visitors today. I cannot entertain them for awhile.” As he stood firmly.
“Aye, your majesty.”
The metallic-studded gate, a masterpiece of defense, shone like burnished silver whenever the sun’s golden rays embraced it. The thick wooden gate, bore deeply carved symbols of valiant warriors. Its thickness was legendary, such that even Hedromus’s weapon, renowned for cleaving trees, could not penetrate Thallerion’s formidable gate. Because of its extreme durability, many hailed it—the Shield of Orion.’
’Every week, I have so many visitors arrived in Thallerion, to ask an advice…Well, Mr. Martheuw Cereun, helped me solve their problems. I’m glad, I can help so many people, resolve their problems…but that is not, without my guardian.’
’Well…I myself can resolve the problems too, but it is better if we have a reliable helper. Not all the time, human are perfect… sometimes…our opinions, understandings… We thought were definitely helping others…but in truth ..we were only helping them to reload their burden, bitterly. So, we have to seek knowledge… who is far more than us…who is more knowledgeable and full of wisdom.’
Day and night, vigilant guards stood on both sides of the gate, their stances imbued with the dignity of Thallerion. Two colossal statues, gripping their swords and facing eastward, stood firm, eternally witnessing Thallerion’s relentless progress.
Whenever envoys and dignitaries visited Xerxez, their journey was a pilgrimage through Thallerion’s storied history, from its genesis to the legendary tales of warriors, who roared the name Thallerion across battlefields. Pictures adorned the walls, introducing the brave lineage of Xerxez’s ancestors to awe-struck visitors from other nations. The former leaders, who had meticulously raised walls for an unyielding foundation, and the former kings and queens, whose triumphs were etched in their glittered smiles, never to be erased. In other parts, the hallowed walls proudly boasted the very weapons of deceased kings and celebrated Thallerion warriors, each a silent witness to countless victories.
The polished marble hall of the palace and the king’s vast throne room resonated with the gentle, ethereal music sung by strings, weaving a tapestry of sound as guests absorbed Xerxez’s profound teachings. The palace roof cradled a prestigious chandelier, a celestial masterpiece crafted from granular crystals, resembling a cascade of flawless diamonds. King Xerxez’s throne, a symbol of his unwavering authority, featured a warrior statue clutching a weapon, jewels gleaming from the sword’s hilt. And at its base, soft, lion’s-mane-like brown fur, though showing decades of use, seemed to preserve the fresh imprints of former kings who had trod upon it.
’Ha-haaa-ha, during seven years, the throne’s chair was suffered severely, from the obesity of king Hedromus… now…the King’s chair was renewed.’
Xerxez wore a magnificent blue royal garment, woven from the smoothest silk, its fabric shimmering with regal power. His towering cloak, a symbol of his undeniable heroism, billowed behind him, a testament to his indomitable spirit. Xerxez’s sash, a vivid display of his hard-won victories in countless wars, was adorned with precious jewels, each one a memory of battles overcome. Only worthy heroic kings who had successfully defeated their enemies could inherit this sacred garment. But Xerxez’s eyes drooped, a subtle shadow clouding their depths, for his own father had not worn it when he reigned in Thallerion.
Sigh!
’ I can’t change the past…my parents died, sacrificing their lives, against the king of Moonatoria, but I’m still honoring them, as a true hero, a good parent…and good leaders in Thallerion history.
