Prajna is a type of vengeful spirit demon in Fusang legend, said to be an evil spirit formed from a woman’s intense jealousy and resentment.

There are currently three main types of Prajna in folklore. The first type is Laughing Prajna, a somewhat common evil spirit, often appearing with a grotesque laughing face, especially enjoying scaring children. The second type is White Prajna, which folklore describes as born from insane jealousy and resentment, attaching to the narrow-minded vengeful woman, leaving at night to take lives, similar to a parasitic soul.

The last one is the Red Prajna.
