“So I started adding flowers. At first, just a few. Then more. I arranged them around the entrance, along the windowsills, by the altar. And it worked—the church became warmer, more inviting. More people started coming.” She smiled. “I’ve loved flowers ever since.”

Cassius listened quietly, storing away every word.

She was about to thank him, to tell him how much this garden meant to her—when she noticed a small platform at the edge of the garden.

It had steps leading up to a raised viewing area, just big enough for two people.

“What’s that?” She asked. “A viewing platform?”

“Come, come! I’ll show you.” He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the stairs. “What you’ll see from up there is more beautiful than any flower in this garden.”
