Chapter 210: To Each Their Own
Felicia’s eyes stayed locked on them, the disbelief not fading as the realization settled deeper. She could feel it clearly now, the faint but unmistakable aura only a Master-rank martial artist emitted.
Scott and Ivy noticed it too, almost at the same time. The room shifted again as their senses sharpened instinctively, picking up on the subtle pressure in the air. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it was undeniable.
Ivy’s brows furrowed as she stared at the two of them, her mind racing. How did I miss this? The thought hit hard. Then she shook her head slightly, correcting herself immediately. No… that’s not the real question.
Her gaze sharpened further. How did they reach Master rank already?
Scott didn’t speak. He just watched in silence, his expression tightening as he processed it. Over the past two years, he and Felicia had pushed themselves to their limits just to break through.
Felicia had reached Master rank first, her foundation stable and her control refined. She was already edging closer to the next threshold. Scott followed not long after, still catching up but not far behind her progress.
Even Ivy, despite spending most of her time trying to find a way to wake Adam and Remedy, had managed to advance to Expert rank. None of it had come easily. Every step forward had required time, effort, and risk.
And yet… Adam and Remedy had been unconscious for two years.
Felicia exhaled slowly, forcing herself to calm down as she stepped forward again. The shock didn’t disappear, but it sharpened into focus instead. Now, she wanted answers.
“How did you two pull something like that off?” she asked directly, her voice steady but filled with restrained disbelief. There was no accusation in it, just a demand for clarity.
Scott and Ivy both leaned in slightly without realizing it, their attention fully locked in. If there was a way to grow stronger without conscious effort…
They needed to know.
****
Remedy didn’t need to read minds to understand what they were thinking. The curiosity in their eyes was obvious. Adam saw it too, and his chest tightened slightly as the same thought crossed his mind.
So… how do we explain this?
The truth wasn’t simple. What they went through wasn’t something Scott, Felicia, or Ivy could replicate. Worse, explaining it properly meant exposing things Remedy clearly had no intention of sharing with anyone else.
Adam glanced at her briefly. He didn’t fully understand it, but he trusted her judgment. The secrets she was keeping about her soul… there was a reason. And it wasn’t something to reveal casually.
Remedy stepped forward before the silence dragged too long, her expression calm and controlled. “We were trapped inside my soul for the past two years,” she said plainly, offering just enough truth without hesitation.
She continued without giving them time to interrupt. “To get out, we had to deal with the wild essence left inside our bodies. The only way was to absorb and stabilize it ourselves.”
Her eyes didn’t waver as she finished. “That process pushed us forward. That’s what led to the breakthrough into Master rank.”
“…..”
Felicia didn’t respond immediately. Scott stayed completely silent. Ivy’s expression froze as she processed the explanation. None of them spoke, but the disbelief was obvious.
Adam stood there, forcing his face to stay neutral, but inside—
T_T
Did she just… casually say that?
He slowly turned his head, checking their reactions again but they were still silent. Then finally, Felicia let out a long breath, her shoulders relaxing as she came to a conclusion.
“So basically… we can’t copy it,” she said bluntly.
Remedy shook her head once. “Unfortunately, no.”
Felicia nodded, accepting it faster than expected. “Alright. Fine.” Just like that, she turned and started walking toward the door, already shifting focus. “You two should hurry. The press conference starts in ten minutes.”
Scott and Ivy exchanged a glance, then followed after her without pressing further. They simply left, closing the door behind them as if that was enough.
Adam blinked, still trying to catch up as he stared at the empty doorway. “They just… accepted that?” he asked out loud, confusion clear in his voice.
Remedy gave a small shrug, completely unfazed. “That’s normal for this team. Nothing about us is normal. You either accept it or lose your sanity trying to understand everything.”
Adam frowned slightly, still not fully convinced. “They didn’t even question how your soul could hold both of us,” he pointed out, lowering his voice instinctively.
Remedy’s expression didn’t change. “Everyone has secrets, Adam. We all know when not to push too far.”
Adam studied her for a moment longer, then let it go. There was no point forcing it. Instead, Remedy clapped her hands lightly once, shifting the mood instantly.
“Alright,” she said, moving to sit on the edge of his bed. “Let’s prepare. We don’t have much time before that press conference.”
Adam nodded, stepping forward as well. The tension from earlier faded slightly, replaced by something new, anticipation.

Inside Eden Manor, everything remained calm, controlled, almost untouched by the chaos building outside. The halls were quiet, the air steady. But beyond those walls, the situation was completely different, already spiraling into something far bigger.
Just outside the estate, rows of reporters filled the open space, seated in tight formation facing a raised stage. Cameramen adjusted angles and checked equipment repeatedly, unwilling to miss even a second of what was about to unfold.
Microphones were tested. Lights were aligned. Every lens pointed forward, locked onto the stage positioned directly in front of the manor gates. The tension in the air wasn’t subtle, it was sharp, focused, and growing by the minute.
Across the entire city of Tristan, broadcasts had already begun. Screens lit up in homes, offices, and public spaces. Conversations paused. Attention shifted. Everyone was watching, waiting for the same moment to arrive.
The reason was simple. The head of one of the most powerful and valuable companies in Tristan had finally returned after two years of complete silence. That alone would have been enough to shake the entire media landscape.
