You will undoubtedly introduce massive trouble to yourself if others see it. So put it away and don’t take it out while you are here.”

Harrow led them away from the central plaza. They walked along a winding stone path lined with swaying bamboo and eventually arrived at a secluded courtyard built on the edge of a floating peak. The wind here was steady and calming. The courtyard featured a small wooden pavilion and a smooth stone training area.

“This will be your quarters during your stay.” Harrow instructed as he opened the wooden gates. “Rest well tonight and get your mind focused. You must get ready for the contest tomorrow. You have to earn your spot in the coming tournament through combat. I will send someone to fetch you in the morning, rest well until then.”

Harrow did not wait for a reply or offer any further pleasantries. He nodded slightly and quickly walked away down the bamboo path. He was incredibly eager to put as much distance between himself and the clueless boy carrying a weapon of such legacy as possible. Li Yu and Daiki walked into the courtyard as the wooden gates closed behind them.
