“Do you want to take a bath?” Kitazawa packed up the boxes. “I noticed a river not far back along the way.”

“Who bathes during a mission?” Kurenai paused. “At most, we’ll wash our feet.”

“Then let’s go wash our feet—and our faces too. I brought towels.”

“Alright.” Kurenai didn’t refuse.

The two reached the riverbank, removed their sandals, and dipped their feet into the cool water.

Kurenai shot him a sharp glare but eventually relaxed.
