“Thank… you,” she muttered, her words getting muffled but reaching Alex’s ears without a problem. And Alex just sighed at that, patting her back as his thoughts still focused on Zahara, thinking of a way to make up to her.

He knew that Zahara wouldn’t mind it. She had already said that she didn’t care how many girls Alex had, but he felt obligated to tell her about these things and not make her feel left out at any moment in time.

They kept hugging each other, enveloped in a calming silence, but as if the world didn’t want there to be too much good in one place, the silence was broken by a series of heavy footsteps accompanied by a loud voice.
