Still, after he got moving again, the environment proved to be just like the others, just a different aesthetic.

It couldn’t really hinder his movement much apart from the occasional scorched cars blocking the road, burning fire blocking his path, or falling debris causing him to swerve.

Even with all this, there wasn’t really much to hinder him in the place, which was probably the most flawed part of these speed tests.

While they did their best to simulate the environments, which was already a very good job, they couldn’t simulate the unlikely or unpredictable scenarios of outside interference.

Like the previous four levels for example; sure while the environments themselves were able to hinder him and slow him down due to their obstacles, there wasn’t really the same sense of danger one would be feeling in this type of situation in a real chase in the Beast Domain.

There was also no chance of being ambushed by another beast while on the run, since they couldn’t be simulated either, which only really left little options for what could push people and challenged them in these tests.

In the end, they were just that — tests.

No matter how hard people might try to make them as real as possible, they could still never compare to the same type of situation occurring in the real world.

After making his way through the whole last level, Nick finally stepped through the exit of the testing chamber with an unsure expression on his face.

’This all felt too… easy.’

The same feeling at the bit of his stomach still haunted him, stressing him out. It just didn’t make sense for him to be so much faster than he anticipated.

And he was secretly hoping that it was normal, and that everyone was like that in the speed test.

But he’d only find out after he received his results in a few moments.

“Speed testing chamber 03 has been completed. Final result is — 13:43.” The testing centre’s Ai announced.

The entire hall, which was still relatively chaotic after Kye’s performance just 15 minutes prior, was surprised.

“Oh? It seems we underestimated this newbie. Turns out he was just a veteran who’d never done one of these tests before. Eh, that’s pretty normal.”

“Damn, this kid managed to core a time like that? Is he another bigshot? How come I don’t recognise him?”

Meanwhile, the same silver tattooed lady from before eyed Nick up dangerously while licking her lips, flashing with a similar kind of desire she showed when Kye’s results were announced…

But that wasn’t his major concern at the moment, as right now he was even more shocked than everyone else in the testing hall.

But Nick wasn’t even anywhere near that!

Nick quickly pulled up the help sheet from the Altered testing centre’s website to compare and see just how his time fared up against those who achieved the same time in their tests.

’30 BF… 31 BF… 29.7 BF… 30.9 BF…’

He was gobsmacked.

Every person on the list who had achieved a similar sub 14 minute time, all had a Battle Force of over or very close to 30…

And since Nick achieved the same result as them, it meant he was placed within the same bracket!

His Battle Force was also nearly that high…

Though, Nick knew those numbers couldn’t be matched up against him, since he achieved that score through a near constant use of his speed augmentation, while they most likely didn’t use any kind of boost in speed at all.

But still, that didn’t dim his shock down one bit.

In fact, it only proved to further boost it.

Because, if he was seeing right, this placed him higher than the maximum limit for a Mutant Soul Star Altered…

But his Sabertooth Wolf Beast Armament was only supposed to boost him up to the speed of a Mutant beast, or an equal Mutant Altered…

So why had he managed to go beyond that with the speed augmentation active!

Nick knew the answer, but he just couldn’t believe it to be true.

If he was just a normal Altered and his Soul Seeds gave him the strength he should normally have, then his speed should have been boosted to between 20-25 BF.

But instead he was near or over 30 BF!

This could only mean that his base speed was already in the range where it should normally be boosted to, making his base speed somewhere between 20-25 BF, though probably on the lower end considering he still received enough of a boost to push him to 30 BF.

That was just batshit insane!

It made no sense…

Why did Nick have such crazy numbers, when his Soul Star was still barely even filled?

He had to find the answer, but he just had no reasonable method of doing so.

’No wait… there might be one thing I can try out.’

Of course, it was only a vague and frankly preposterous idea that popped up at the back of his mind, and would be absurd if true…

But then again, considering his result was absurd, Nick had a feeling that whatever caused it was just as, if not even more absurd!

Meanwhile, while Nick was both ecstatic and worried about his result on the speed test, a certain Beast Slayer was basically going crazy after seeing someone he had considered a Waste, and a weakling in the War Beast Sanctuary for so long, achieve such a remarkable result!

Nick’s result was even nearing in on his own, as Beast Slayer only managed to achieve a time of 11:59 as his all time best, which only placed him within the 39 BF bracket!

For Nick to be so close to him in strength in such a short time span, he knew that something was horribly wrong about this whole situation.

’What the fuck has that bitch been feeding him to make take him to this level!??’

Naturally, he placed all the blame for Nick’s achievements on Dido, as the only reasonable explanation he could find for his results was that he had been spoon fed a bunch of Mutant Soul Seeds, and even a few Radiant Soul Seeds, by her…

But never in his dreams would he ever imagine Dido doing something like this, as he knew what it would take for her to give away precious Radiant Soul Seeds to another, and it wasn’t even something he could afford even with his family’s backing…
