Thorns then displayed samples of his research results. “I believe it’s impossible for medication alone to cause such drastic physical mutation.”

“Weedy, it’s your turn.”

Thorns nodded to a young woman in the audience, who stepped onto the stage to begin her report.

Despite her youth, Weedy already held doctoral degrees in bionic engineering and mechanical engineering, a true prodigy. When Felix had first seen her profile, he immediately wanted to recruit her. She graduated from Iberia Institute of Technology, and several of her classmates had joined Tomorrow’s Development alongside her.

Once the conversation ended, they would undoubtedly continue walking their respective paths without hesitation.

“Have there been any new developments lately? Ever since you settled in Brisamar City, the churches in the nearby towns have been burned or smashed. That was your doing, wasn’t it?”

“You already knew.”

Andoain nodded calmly. “Church affiliations don’t matter to me. But those clergy and monks who compromised with twisted, heretical paths have long since forfeited the right to live.”

Felix “accepted” Andoain’s request. A mission appeared in his task log. Seeing it sparked a faint nostalgia. It had been a long time since he last received a mission; he was usually the one issuing them.
