He had once believed that he did not care what his future held, as long as he could remain with his friend.

She was thinking about what she could do in the future.

Felix had left Kazdel. He might return someday, but he would not remain here permanently.

“Talulah, you have a visitor.”

The tall, expressionless Goliath guard opened the door. Startled, Talulah stood and followed him to the visiting area, where she saw a familiar figure.

Alina sat across the window, dressed in simple home clothes, a serene smile on her face.
