A grand feast was spread across the long, polished table, where plates stacked high with roasted meats, goblets overflowing with wine, and golden trays of exotic fruits lay untouched. Despite the abundance of food, the room carried a filthy stench, both from the hobgoblins gathered and the disgusting atmosphere they exuded.

At the head of the table, the Hobgoblin King—a massive, battle-scarred brute with **dark green skin and jagged teeth—**sat upon his grotesquely decorated stone throne. His beady yellow eyes gleamed with an insatiable hunger, not just for food, but for conquest.

And sitting across from him was his equally revolting son—the Hobgoblin Prince.

Ah yes, the idiot prince.

A creature so moronic, so perverted, and so delusional, that one might question whether he was truly the son of a king, or if the gods had simply made a mistake.

This fool, this disgusting creature, leaned forward, his thick lips curled into a vile grin.

The king grunted. “Hmm… yes, it has been some time. He should’ve reported back by now.”

Just then—

BANG!

The large wooden doors swung open violently, revealing a breathless hobgoblin foot soldier.

The poor creature staggered into the room, panting heavily, his armor covered in sweat.

His fear was evident.

His legs trembled.

His face was pale.

Yet, instead of sensing the danger, the idiot prince immediately snapped:

“HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT US? CAN’T YOU SEE WE’RE EATING?”

The foot soldier dropped to his knees, prostrating in fear.

His breath still ragged, he spoke:

His voice wavered.

“H-He has been killed!”

Silence.

Then—

“THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?!” The Hobgoblin King roared. “DON’T JOKE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT!”

The Idiot prince’s jaw dropped. His face twitched in disbelief before he laughed nervously.

“Hah! You must be wasted! Who could possibly be that strong? No mere goblin could kill our orc!”

The foot soldier shook his head frantically.

“No, my liege! I swear it! We received reports from our scouts who were stationed nearby!”

The king smashed his copper goblet against the table, sending water splashing everywhere.

“WHO WAS IT? HOW MANY ATTACKED?!”

The foot soldier flinched.

The king’s lips curled into a wicked grin.

“Yes… he will die.”

His ominous laughter filled the hall, echoing into the darkness.

She huffed, though a small smile betrayed her frustration.

Still, she gazed down at Ivy, who nestled deeper into the blankets.

“Even if we didn’t plan for it,” Luna whispered, “I think I like this…”

Aiden softened at her words.

“Me too.”

For a while, neither of them spoke.

They simply lay there, listening to Ivy’s soft breathing, the quiet crackle of the fireplace filling the silence.

Aiden turned slightly and brushed Ivy’s bangs away from her forehead.

The little goblin murmured in her sleep, snuggling closer to him.

“Onii-chan…” she murmured.

Luna hummed in agreement before curling up closer, resting her head on the pillow beside Ivy’s.

Her blue eyes softened.

“Master…” she whispered.

Aiden looked at her.

“Hmm?”

Luna hesitated before reaching across Ivy’s sleeping form, taking Aiden’s hand in hers.

Her fingers were warm. Soft.

Her wolf ears twitched nervously.

“Promise me…” she murmured. “Promise me that we’ll always stay together like this.”

Aiden blinked.

Then, his lips curled into a gentle smile.

“I promise.”

Luna’s fingers tightened around his.

Her tail wagged slightly.

And in that moment—under the warmth of the blankets, beside the ones he cared for—Aiden knew this was where he belonged.

No matter what dangers lay ahead—this was his family.

And he would protect them with everything he had.
