Mystogan didn’t understand the concept of parallel universes, and Finn didn’t bother explaining. He wasn’t even sure if Edolas was a parallel Earthland.

He’d find out soon enough.

Finn’s expression turned serious.

“Mystogan,” he said, his voice low. “Lisanna’s probably in that world, too.”

Mystogan paused, then said, “That’s what I was about to mention. I’ve been investigating, and the chances of Lisanna being alive are now over 90%.”

“She’s very likely in Edolas. So, besides rescuing everyone else, you have another mission: bring Lisanna home.”

Finn smiled. “Of course. That kid’s been away long enough. It’s time she came home!”

Finn’s body began to glow, then started floating uncontrollably. He looked down at his hands.

“I’m using a special magic to let Anima pull you to Edolas. Don’t resist; with your strength, you’d break free from ’Soul.’ Just let the pull take you,” Mystogan explained.

As Mystogan said, Finn felt the pull from the still-open wormhole created by Anima.

The pull accelerated, and Finn vanished into the wormhole.

“Please, Finn!” Mystogan whispered, watching Finn disappear.

Finn found himself in a corridor-like space, with lightning flashing around him. In the distance, a blinding light shone.

The saliva appeared to possess corrosive properties, as the plants and flowers it came into contact with instantly withered and disintegrated.

Witnessing this scene, the golden cat’s despair deepened. This human appeared to be an ordinary human being, and not only had he failed to rescue her, but he had now inadvertently placed himself in mortal danger. Gritting her teeth, the golden cat made a resolute decision.

With a surge of adrenaline, she struggled to her feet. “Human,” she declared, her voice strained but firm, “I’ll try to distract it. You run!” She picked up a stone from the ground and hurled it at the green gorilla.

Finn paused, his smile faltering slightly. Then, a reassuring smile returned to his lips. “Don’t worry,” he said calmly, “I simply want to know how to get out of this forest. You must know the way, right?”

“Leave this forest? Are you lost?” the golden cat asked, her voice laced with suspicion, maintaining a cautious distance from Finn.

“You could say that,” Finn replied, nodding his head in agreement.

The golden cat fixed her gaze intently on Finn’s eyes, attempting to discern whether he was being truthful.

After scrutinizing Finn’s expression for a considerable amount of time, she remained unconvinced, for Finn’s words were indeed truthful.

With a sigh of resignation, the golden cat finally spoke. “Considering you saved my life, I suppose I could guide you out of here.”

Finn’s lips curved into a genuine smile. “I would be most grateful for your assistance.”

The golden cat struggled to her feet, but the pain from her wounds seemed to intensify, causing her to wince and grimace.

“Your wounds have started bleeding again. Allow me to tend to them,” Finn offered gently.

“Th-thank you,” the golden cat replied, after a moment’s hesitation, accepting Finn’s offer.

Before long, the golden cat’s wounds were carefully bandaged. Due to the lack of suitable materials in the immediate vicinity, Finn was forced to improvise, tearing a strip of fabric from his own shirt.

After sterilizing the fabric by boiling it over a makeshift fire, he proceeded to carefully bandage the cat’s wounds.
