Yugito slowly pushed herself to her feet. But it was no longer entirely Yugito. Her body was now sheathed in a raging inferno of blue chakra. Her eyes were solid white, her teeth elongated into fangs. Her hair whipped around her, animated by the furious energy. The chakra coalesced above her, forming the spectral, monstrous visage of a giant two-tailed cat—Matatabi.

“You… have enraged me,” a distorted, dual-toned voice snarled from within the chakra beast. “I will not hold back. I swear on the name of Kumogakure and the Two-Tails… I will kill you all!”

The giant cat demon roared, a sound that shook the very rocks around them. It fixed its blazing white eyes on Suigetsu and Jūgo, its entire form tensing to pounce.

Enraged by the miss, the beast focused its attention on Suigetsu, its body coiling for another, more powerful pounce.

“That’s it! You think I’m an easy target?!” Suigetsu roared, his fear turning into anger. He threw the Kubikiribōchō high into the air and his hands flew through a series of hand seals. Taking a massive breath, he expelled a torrent of water from his mouth. “Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu!” (Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique)

The water swelled instantly, becoming a raging river that surged toward the chakra construct of the Two-Tails. It was a desperate, large-scale jutsu from his home village, a testament to the dire threat he now faced.
