Some did a double take while others were struck dumb. Chu Zhengyan even yelled at her. “Miss Jiang!”

But Jiang Wan did not even bother to look at him. The seal in between her brows was now as red as blood.

She had let out all her soul energy, as ice shields formed one by one. The surrounding temperature dropped abruptly, freezing everything around her.

“What the hell is she thinking?!” Yan Wugui looked at Jiang Wan, unable to believe what he saw, ~Didn’t she ask the floating cloud gentleman to live up to his choice, which meant that she would watch with folded arms? But now….~

She blinked, and looked at him calmly. “There’s no need to be touched. You took an attack for me, and I returned the favor. We are even.”

“Wan….”

“If I knew that you left me because you had no choice, I may have retained some feelings for you. But it’s too late now, the feelings that died long ago cannot be rekindled anymore.”

“…..” The floating cloud gentleman looked down and held her hand tighter.

Jiang Wan seemed to get more and more tired, her eyes closing as she mumbled. “If I had a choice, I never want to have met any of you. I am even dragged into your feuds …”

Lu Mingshu spit out some water and grabbed Yan Wugui tightly. “No, this is weird!”

And everyone that was around him experienced the same thing, even Nie Rufei who was previously so majestic fell down with a thud.

Yan Wugui vomited blood once more, immediately fishing out a pill from his pocket and stuffing it into Lu Mingshu’s mouth.

“Uh….” Lu Mingshu nearly choked on it. With great difficulty, she then swallowed the pill and looked over at Yan Wugui. “What about you…..”

But Yan Wugui had already taken out another pill and stuffed it into his own mouth. Seeing this, Lu Mingshu felt stupid. ~What am I thinking? The scenario of there being only one pill available but I will give it for you only appears in melodramatic love stories.~
