Contrary to Logan’s expectations, Green was actually dominating the fight!

Sabrina’s Alakazam was powerful, yes, but it was her only Pokémon in this battle. Against Green’s full team, that left her at a severe disadvantage. Green’s heart skipped a beat. “Impossible… How do you have three badges? Then who exactly are Surge and Koga fighting outside with Red and Blue?”

The revelation hit Green like a thunderbolt.

Sabrina lowered herself gracefully to the floor, her Alakazam panting heavily at her side. Yet her gaze never wavered, sharp and full of cruel clarity.

“Tell me, girl. You’re well-read, aren’t you? Do you know the only way a human can command a legendary Pokémon?”

Green swallowed hard, hesitant, but answered honestly. “…Unless one uses force to control them, the only way is if the Pokémon’s will and the human’s will align—if their goals are the same. Only then can they cooperate… temporarily.”

Knowledge that had once been whispered to her by the shadowy figure who captured her.

“Correct,” Sabrina said coldly. “But remember this—the gods never truly stand with humans. They are the destroyers of civilizations, not saviors. Perhaps for a moment, they may ally with a human. But never… never for a lifetime. No one has ever made a god truly theirs.”

Her eyes narrowed. “The reason? Human lives are too short. Compared to the endless lifespans of gods, humans are nothing. Our wills cannot truly align. We cannot understand them. And so, from the beginning of time until now, no human has ever bound a god forever.”

Her lips curled into a faint smile. “Well… perhaps one did. But that ‘god’ was a man-made one. An exception. A copy. Not the real thing.”

Her eyes gleamed as she took a step forward. “And since you fear birds more than anything, let me show you Team Rocket’s masterpiece—apart from Mewtwo itself. Behold… the Three Legendary Birds!”

For once, Sabrina smiled beautifully, her icy demeanor breaking into something hauntingly enchanting. Her lips curved upward, her long eyes glimmered with malicious delight.

And as her smile deepened, the illusions around them shattered.
