Lu Zhen never cared about such trivials. Especially not from strangers. He didn’t care what people thought about him and right now he couldn’t care less about people who only wanted to take advantage of others.

“Why should we care about you or whether your child starves to death? I don’t even know you. Please leave my house. I don’t want you to disturb me or my family.”

“We have many people in our house and don’t have any supplies to share with you or anyone else. Please leave and do not disturb our family again.”

It was the first time she had seen someone behave as if others were obligated to take care of her. They were not related in any way, and they were practically strangers until 5 minutes ago.

“Did you help us by buy those supplies? If you did, then you can ask for some. But if you didn’t, then get out of here and stop disturbing our peace.” Leng Pan said with some anger and frustration.

She had read many apocalyptic books, and some of the plot arcs mentioned people taking things by force, or even forcing their way into other people’s houses and refusing to leave.

She had always thought it was exaggerated and meant to make the story more exciting. However, today she witnessed the real thing.

Someone showed up at their house to ask for supplies as if they had played a part in the shopping.

Leng Pan didn’t wait for a reply from the two outside the door and slammed it shut. “If she dares to come again just throw her out. We don’t need to entertain such selfish people.” She said.

Lu Zhen looked at his delicate wife who had stood in front of him like a protective mother and smiled.
