She told him that if he died she would resurrect him then beat him to death again. But that guy still died.

He lay down and and pulled his wife into his arms placing her head on his chest where she could listen to his powerful heartbeat.

In her dreams, Leng Pan was also dreaming about their past and how she had broken Lu Zhen’s heart by abandoning him when she knew how he felt about her.
