Chapter 30: Randy, the District Boss

“Tell him to tap into the CCTV and follow the cars through the city! I want to know where they go and how many there are!”

Philip nodded seriously before he began to make the call, and Dante looked around at the amount of destruction that had been done to the street in this fight!

“Hey, did you watch Boss Dante’s shooting? He didn’t miss a single one.”

“I was too busy trying not to fucking die, so no. But that isn’t too surprising. Dante’s the best shooter we have.”

“Yeah, but he was driving, wasn’t he? How the hell did he shoot that well while driving?”

“Shit, you’re right. What the fuck was that?”

Murmurs were spreading out from the members of the Lucas family who had seen Dante’s actions, and even those who were part of Dante’s team in the cleaners were finding it hard to understand just how Dante did what he did! Dante ignored all of them as he allowed his mind to run through the expense that they had just suffered from this one attack!

This was the district belonging to the Lucas family, so it was obvious that they would be the ones responsible for fixing up the damage that was caused, but Dante didn’t even care about that in that moment! The only thing that Dante cared about right then was the fact that someone had dared to come into his territory and kill his men on their own fucking land! He was not going to let this pass! He was going to find whoever was responsible for this and fucking crucify them!

“Sir, I’ve passed the message to Jacob! He tapped into the district cameras, and he’s following the cars! We’ll get information about where they went once they reach!”

Dante nodded before he looked around once again. Many of the men had been injured in the fight, and the amount of damage done to the city street by the grenades was immense, but thankfully, it didn’t look like it would take long to fix the damage. Dante quickly began to give out orders to the men!

“Clear out the debris on the road and gather anyone who can’t move! Philip, take inventory of the warehouse and see how much was destroyed! If you can salvage any cars, make sure you check them for damage before taking them to the eastern warehouse! You over there, find one of the attackers that’s still alive and take him to the interrogators! And someone get me the fucking district boss now!”

The men immediately began to move once they heard the orders, and Philip ran off to take the inventory like Dante asked! Dante ran a hand through his hair while releasing a calm sigh, and he looked around at all the civilians that were watching him and his men with terrified curiosity. This was a commercial road in the third district, so many civilian cars were being held up due to the fights. Dante called on some of the men and told them to go and block off the road to make sure no civilians could come close by.

“Get these civilians out of here before I lose my fucking temper.”

The man nodded as he gathered a few other men, and they quickly began ushering the bystanders out of the battle site. The police had already issued an evacuation order, and there were roadblocks preventing more cars from coming down this road, but since everything had happened so fast, there were still a lot of people around. Dante leaned back against his car and looked at his watch while waiting, and it only took a few minutes before he heard a car pulling up behind him. The person who came out of the car was the district boss in charge of overseeing the affairs of the third district. This man’s name was Randy, and he was an older man with long black hair that fell down to his shoulders and a tall, slim figure. He was wearing a red shirt and black trousers with sunglasses to complete the look, and he had the sort of appearance that you would expect to see on a low-budget gang member from a crappy movie! The moment Dante set eyes on him, he couldn’t help but frown in sheer disgust. Even though the Lucas family was a gang, that didn’t mean they dressed like cliché gangsters!

Randy spread his hands wide to gesture towards the absolute carnage on the street while walking up to Dante and saying!

“Dante! What the fuck is all this!? Philip said there was an attack on the warehouse! Did you unleash a fucking bomb on my district—”

“Shut up and take off those fucking sunglasses before I smack you.”

Randy was immediately taken aback by Dante’s words, and his eyes narrowed in shock behind his glasses, but he realized how serious the situation was when he saw Dante’s heavy glare, and he slowly took the glasses off. Dante looked right into Randy’s eyes as he asked him.

“How the fuck did these bastards enter the district without you knowing?”

Randy ran a nervous hand over his face before he shook his head.

“I don’t know, Dante. I just got the news a few minutes ago! I’m just as shocked as you are!”

Dante suddenly grabbed Randy by the shirt and dragged him up angrily, and Randy felt fear pass through his heart when he saw Dante staring at a stain on his shirt. Dante gave Randy an incredulous look and sneered.

“Did you really not know what was happening, Randy? You’re telling me that while your fucking warehouse was being snuck into and burnt to the ground, you were at the whorehouse sleeping around?”

Randy tried to get Dante’s hands off, but he couldn’t even make Dante budge! It was almost like Dante’s hand was made from fucking steel! Randy gave up on trying to get Dante off, and he glared at Dante when he saw the men around them murmuring quietly!

“Hey, aren’t you taking it too far!? It’s not like you’re the boss of me! You’re just a cleaner! Stop acting like you can tell a district boss what to fucking do! If I say I didn’t know, then I didn’t fucking know!”

SLAP!

The slap that landed on Randy’s face made him see fucking stars! Randy crashed to the ground as a low whine began to echo through his ears, and everybody in the area flinched at the same time from the intense slap! The men began to murmur amongst themselves again as they watched Randy’s face grow red and swollen! Randy’s glasses had fallen to the ground and cracked into pieces, and there was blood running down the side of Randy’s mouth and nose! Randy tried to get his vision to stop swimming, but the whining in his ear only grew louder as blood rushed to his face from embarrassment!

Randy couldn’t believe it! Dante slapped him? A mere cleaner slapped a district boss!? This fucking bastard! Did he think he was invincible now that the boss was dead!? Randy had always had issues with Dante for a long time now, but Randy hadn’t been able to do anything against Dante because of how close Dante was to the boss! Randy knew that if there was ever an argument between him and Dante, the boss would take Dante’s side! But now that the boss was dead, Randy decided that he wasn’t going to take this anymore! If Dante thinks he can treat him like this, then he was going to fucking kill him!
