Zion’s eyes dilated, a surge of fury igniting in his chest. Without a word, he shoved the door open and froze for only a moment at the scene: a dozen nurses struggling to restrain Addison’s convulsing limbs while another tried to fit a gag into her mouth.

He didn’t pause to ask questions. Striding forward with purpose, Zion pressed his arm gently but firmly against Addison’s mouth. She bit down, and he let her, his flesh taking the force of her jaw. The room fell into stunned silence.
