She lifted the back of her chubby hand and rubbed her eyes, staring carefully at the taxi driving over from not far.

She immediately sat up straight and patted her butt, standing up and saying in surprise, “Big Huang! My mummy’s back!”

“Woof!”

She looked at the yellow puppy and murmured to herself, “Your mummy is at Grandfather Third’s house, next to our house. You must not know the bitterness of missing your mummy.”

“No.” The little girl laughed and revealed her white sparkling teeth. She said unclearly, “I only say this to handsome big brothers!”

Lu Ting nodded and asked again, “It seems like this is fate. Why don’t you give me a strand of your hair as a present?”

Without another word, little bun tugged a strand of her hair off and carefully placed it in the man’s wide palm. Then, she curled the man’s palm into a fist and said in seriousness, “This is my hair. Hold onto it. It’s our token. In the future, when I grow up, bring this to me, so you can marry my mother.”

She said seriously as if swearing an oath with a man.

No matter how upset Lu Ting was, in front of this little girl, he couldn’t act upon it anymore. He rubbed the little girl’s head with his other hand and said, “I definitely will if we are fated”
