Chapter 109: Claiming (Commission) Rewards

After Liu Zhi and I went to Shen Rong to present my gifts for the Red Sea Shelter, we headed back to the lodging to get some shut-eye before tomorrow. Since there was no need to prepare for the Rush Hour all thanks to me, the Red Sea Shelter and all the neighboring shelters will be having a sweet night tonight.

And ultimately, that also meant that tomorrow and the following days after that would be peaceful.

This means… more time for me to cultivate and spend time lazing around as I explore the Red Sea Shelter. There are still two days left before the Red Sea Tournament and I don’t have to worry about the Rush Hour. That means I can hold off going to the Tang Shelter for now. Besides, the prize for the Tournament might be useful to someone so even though it might be useless for me, I could still find uses for it by giving it to someone else. As for the experience, well, it would be a good reconnaissance for me since I’d be able to assess the fighting style of the new generation cultivators. 

With that aside, I don’t have the luxury to sleep tonight. There were a lot of things to be done and one of them looking at my inbox and shop. I’ve been moving around a lot and I haven’t even thought about certain things such as acquiring armor, weapon, cultivation technique, and spirit beasts for myself. Well, I do have the Evolved Fanged Ice Wolf which was has a higher rank than Titanium, which is the highest rank for spirit beasts. However, I do want to replace him since I don’t really like someone having the same spirit beast like me.

I mean, that man named Xiao Xue who won the previous Red Sea Tournament has the Fanged Ice Wolf as his spirit beast. Its rank may be lower than my Evolved Fanged Ice Wolf but technically, they’re the same.

After everyone’s gone to bed, I was the only one left in the living room of the house. I planned to sleep here for the night. But then again, I don’t think I’d have the time to sleep.

I almost jumped out of my seat as I saw my status. The last time I checked, my status was just one-tenth of my current status. Deep inside, I knew that I’ve certainly gotten more formidable compared to before but who would’ve thought that my status would multiply tenfold.

Aside from that, my unused stat points were steadily piling up. I decided to just leave it at that so I could use it when I need a stat boost one of these days.

Now that that’s out of the way, I can finally check all the rewards I got from the System.

When I opened the System inbox, there were at least fifteen notifications inside. Just like in certain RPG games, the notifications have an icon of an unopened envelope.

I couldn’t even remember how many quests I’ve finished but there were fifteen mails inside. I’m guessing I finished fifteen quests ever since I’ve started using the System. Well, who knows. It’s not like I keep track of all the quests and notifications that the System constantly rings in my head.

Since I was getting a little bit tired, I opened all the mail in the system inbox simultaneously.

A long string of rewards appeared right before my eyes, making me almost fall backward while I was on the couch. But I managed to maintain my composure as I read through every reward that I got. Some of them, like the EXP Card, Boosts, and Shop Coins were straightforward. The weapon and armor were also straightforward as well but aside from that, the rest of the rewards were all weird.

The Bad Eggs, if I remember, are some type of Eggs that takes too long to hatch. Until now, I still haven’t hatched my first Bad Egg and now the System gave me two more of them. The Rare Zombie was something I know of as well. Feng, the Screecher Baby, is a Rare rabid human so the reward was simply just another rabid human subordinate for me.

But what could the Shop Tickets and Element Orbs mean?
