Chapter 119: BLOOD!

Still, that much of an attack isn’t enough to defeat me. While I was smiling inwardly, I noticed something that almost pricked my heart and rocked me to my core. Somehow, blood spurted from my should where my arm was cut off. Why do I have blood? Aren’t I a rabid human? How come? Where did I get it?

I stared at it for a few seconds, trying to think of a reason why I was bleeding. Honestly, it looked really gory, but deep inside, I was elated. One way or another, I can finally label myself as a human. Even if I’m a rabid human before, I already have blood. BLOOD!

For the life of the flesh is in the blood… or so the famous saying goes from ancient scripture.

And then, my other arm was cut off from me once again.

What am I doing? Am I really going to let her land a free hit on me? Well, if I think about it on another angle, I can say that this is retribution. This much is not enough punishment after everything I did to her. While she’s at it, she could at least cut off my head and be done with it. It’s not like I’d die from being killed. 

“You’re weak, relatively weaker than him. And yet, and yet… ” Shi Meili muttered once again. I have no idea what she was talking about or whom she was referring to, but I could feel her rage and sadness. She was seriously intent on killing me.

“And Yong Rui froze! I think this is the end for him! He just can’t keep up with Shi Meili’s movements, the famous dancing phoenix!” The commentator continued. “I guess his first dodge was just a fluke, a momentary lucky break.”

“Yong Rui, what are you doing? Are you forfeiting the fight?!” Shen Rong called out but I didn’t hear him. Instead, I gave all my attention to Shi Meili.

Suddenly, everyone from the audience fell silent as they felt the ominous aura erupting from my body. To someone who has never encountered the blood element before, this was probably their first time feeling something like this. Even Shi Meili, who was quite confident with her speed, couldn’t even budge from where she was standing. She seemed like she was choking because of the pressure but I didn’t give her a window of opportunity to attack me. Right now, I have to do all I can to avoid being recognized by her.

However, there was one person who seemed to not have been affected by my release of pressure. It was none other than Shen Rong. Instead of cowering in fear and being gripped with terror, he was casually standing beside the arena where Meili and I were fighting.

“As expected of someone who had experienced countless death encounters. To those who didn’t know, Yong Rui spent the last five years outside the walls of the Shelter. Yes, he had survived fighting rabid humans for five years.” Shen Rong announced.

The people, both participants, and audience alike, gasped in awe as they stared at me. Still, I ignored them. I decided to respond to Meili’s heartfelt feelings with mine. She wanted to fight all-out, I will give that fight to her.

Since no one dared to move under my pressure, I was the one who moved. 

I casually walked towards my right arm and lied down beside it. After I pretended to chant something, my arm automatically reattached itself on my shoulder. I don’t know if it got something to do with my element but I’m sure that it’s part of a rabid human’s constitution. Just as expected, my arm was back to normal. 

“No way,”

“He’s got the heal element?!”

“He really is a genius!”

“There’s no denying it. He’s a genius. How could he have the Healing Element?”

“It’s normal to have the Healing Element. I know at least a thousand people who have the healing element. It’s not that rare.”

“Are you stupid? Did you see how fast he healed his severed arm? The healing element doesn’t do that unless it was cultivated to a very high level.”

“Yeah, have you ever heard anyone with the healing element heal a severed arm in just a split second?”

“HEAL!”

The audience finally got the courage to murmur to each other. At least, they weren’t that mindful about my killing intent anymore. However, Meili was still highly affected by it.

With my right arm done, I moved on and picked up my left arm with my right arm and reattached it.  After that, it’s as if I didn’t suffer any injuries.

Just like that, I could tell that Shi Meili finally realized the difference in our power. Helplessly, she fell on her knees as the pressure finally got the better of her. It was clear in her eyes that she had surrendered the match. There was no need to keep up the pressure any longer. Besides, I might lose control over my brain again if I kept it up for a long time.

With a flick of my finger, I deactivated all my skills, and the atmosphere and aura in the coliseum returned to normal. A majority of the audience heaved a sigh of relief. Finally, they could breathe normally just like before.

I slowly approached Shi Meili while wearing the warmest smile I could ever muster. Like the gentleman I was, I offered my hand to her so she wouldn’t have a hard time standing up. “I’m sorry to scare you like that, are you all right?” I asked, completely letting my guard down so she would be able to tell that I didn’t mean any harm.

But what happened next caught me by surprise. Instead of reaching out her hand to hold mine, she did something that I never expected.

That’s right, Shi Meili started crying out of nowhere!
