Eryx nodded with a smile on his face. But Rahu was still confused.

“Isn’t this half of your force? Wouldn’t that weaken your House?”

“Weaken? Heh, though it would definitely be a blow to the House, but it’s nowhere enough to shake the deep foundation of our Houses,” Eryx said with a proud smirk. It was as he had said. The present cultivators in the Trial were half of the Origin Realm cultivators that had arrived with the intention to capture Silveria; the rest of them were either in bases or wandering to hunt for treasures.

“I see, heh. You said you want to become the Supreme Leader of the Rudhra’s right? I have an offer,” Rahu grinned. Even when they were in between a deadly trial, Rahu remained unfazed. Because no one had truly directed any killing intent towards them…yet.

“I’m all ears,” Eryx leaned in, curious about the offer.

“I will make you the Leader of the House Rudhra. When I arrive in Yvaris, I want you to support me. I will tell you my objective and the details later, and…answer carefully after thinking it through. Offers like these are as special as myself”

When he heard this, Eryx almost doubted his ears, but when he saw the confident smirk on Rahu’s face, his expression instantly changed.

Eryx closed his eyes for a moment, weighing the pros and cons. But somewhere in the corner of his heart, he was still doubtful.

Well, everyone would be. It was just a gamble at this point—and gamble he would.

Eryx opened his eyes and glanced at Rahu sharply, “As long as you don’t go to extremes in asking for something from me. I, Eryx Rudhra, give you my oath that, if you are able to make me the House Leader. You, Rahu, have my full support,” Eryx declared, his voice having that conviction in it.

“Good, you have some spine. Rest assured, you just have to run some errands for me. And the rest, I will handle,” Rahu smirked, his words bringing a wave of relief to Eryx. Just as they were about to converse further, a heavy, husky voice sounded.

“Oh? What’s this? Are you two really chatting in the middle of a battle like this? So bold!”

Turning back, Rahu saw a huge man. He was built like a tank; he was Aghum of the Ravana House.

“Wait, even you passed? Does your brain even know how to read?” Rahu spoke in a shocked voice, no, believe him, he wasn’t mocking him. He was genuinely surprised.

“…Your mouth is as nasty as ever. Heh, you aren’t getting lucky this time, boy.” Agum laughed out loud, his dense muscles contracting every time he moved.

“Need a hand?” Eryx asked from the side.

“Brat, don’t flatter yourself. Just stand there quietly,” Rahu replied with a smirk and stepped forward. Standing face to face with the Hulk.

Cracking his neck, he spoke. “Bitch, let me show you why I was feared in my home world.” Saying that, he took a basic boxing fighting stance, the left leg forward, right leg a foot back. One hand beside his chin, protecting his guard, the other raised towards Agum provocatively.

Seeing this, Aghum roared and stepped forward, each step heavy.

With the last step, he charged towards Rahu! His fist came down on him like a hammer, aimed straight for his skull. Rahu slid half a step to the side. Aghum’s blow grazed past his hair. Before Aghum could recover, Rahu snapped his elbow upward!

​The blow sank into the underside of Aghum’s left bicep, right into the nerve cluster. Aghum’s massive hands spasmed involuntarily.

​Aghum grunted and looked down.

​But Rahu didn’t wait, he stepped towards Aghum’s reach and drove a knee straight into the inner thigh…hard, which was immediately followed by a short, vicious hook to the lower liver. It was so smooth that Aghum couldn’t even comprehend what had happened before staggering back a step, his breath stuck in his throat.

​”Heh? What’s the matter, big guy? Weren’t you talking so big?” Of course, Rahu didn’t forget to mock him.

Aghum snarled and swung his other arm wildly. Rahu ducked under and wrapped an arm around Aghum’s waist, and with a slight grin, he shifted his hips.

​SLAM!!

​Even with no cultivation to affect, the ground had shaken a bit. Aghum was thrown over Rahu’s shoulder and was smashed down flat on his back. Before Aghum could even roll, Rahu dropped on him, driving a knee straight to his chest and raining down short, compact punches on Aghum’s jaw and cheekbone.

​”ARGHH!! BASTARD!!” Aghum roared and tried to grab him. But, Rhau trapped one wrist and twisted it sharply, and with a grin, stomped down on the elbow!

​CRACK!!

​”Guhhahhh!!”

​Aghum howled in pain before rolling to the side. Rahu rose smoothly and dusted his clothes, his breathing as steady as it could be.

​”Get up bitch, we are just getting started!”

It seems his provocation worked, as Aghum forced himself up, his eyes bloodshot and chest heaving. With a roar, he rushed in again, trying to tackle.

​Rahu instantly sprawled, his hips dropping back and his forearm pressing down on Aghum’s neck. He shifted his to the side and slid behind him…and locked Aghum in a choke, his arm under the chin, bicep tight and forearm crushing his carotid artery.

​”Heh, how are you so weak? And bitch, did you really think that woman called you back because she took pity on me? Wrong, she was trying to save your sorry ass!” Rahu muttered in his ears as he tightened the hold.

​Aghum desperately thrashed in his arms, but no matter how he struggled. Rahu’s choke was like an iron grip; it didn’t bulge in the slightest. And finally, with no cultivation or additional powers whatsoever. Aghum finally felt it, a deep sense of fear crept in, chilling his spine.

​”W-Wait! I-I am sorry! We can talk this out! Please hear me!” Aghum shook his massive body and spoke in a fearful tone. This time, he was truly scared. He knew, if Rahu willed it, his throat could snap at any given moment!

​”Heh, too late.”
