Chapter 56: New Students of Moon God Academy
Of all the Rules, the Space and Time Rules were among the most difficult to progress understanding in. They were many times harder than, say, the Water or Wood Rules, with Time—more so than Space—being even more demanding than comprehending the Life and Death Rules.
)
So for a seven-year-old to be capable of not only grasping the Space Rule but also getting it to Level 2, just… what sort of genius did this require?
In truth, Jin hadn’t even shown all that he had, for his Space Rule was actually at Level 3. Moreover, his recently grasped Fire Rule, Dark Rule, Nature Rule, and the like were lingering between Level 3 and Level 4—and that was with him neglecting them and focusing on Space.
With just |Against-Heaven’s Understanding|, such insane progress in Rule comprehension wouldn’t have been possible. However, because Jin had already comprehended one Rule—one of the most special of all—the rest of the common ones came as second nature upon observing Super Element Crystals for a while.
There was also the part that his many millions of Intents had to play in all this, for Intents were essentially diluted Rules. And though most would never glimpse a benefit for Rule comprehension from comprehending more Intents, ’most’ were not the freakish and obsessive Jin Stratus.
When Jin first began this insane journey, he thought that having more than a few thousand Intents had huge diminishing returns. But as time went on and many more Intents were mastered, his perspective changed drastically.
To put it in terms of disinfectant spray, when he had 10,000 comprehended Intents, it was as if he could destroy 80% of bacteria.
When that number passed a hundred thousand, he could destroy more than 90% of bacteria.
For a million plus, that 90% went up to 99%.
And for ten million plus, it was already at 99.99%.
Not much of a difference for how many more you had to comprehend, was it?
Well, that assumption would be wrong.
Even if 99.9999% of bacteria could be destroyed, there’d still be that small percentage that survived. This small percentage, although negligible as a percentile, could amount to millions of bacteria as an individual counter.
That would be millions of bacteria still doing whatever they wanted within you. You wouldn’t be in full control of yourself.
The same principle applied for Jin’s comprehension of Intents, as although comprehending more Intents didn’t much change raw power output, it vastly increased control. It enabled more power to be utilized—more efficiently—without waste.
In some ways, better control was more valuable than more power.
And that was why Jin aimed to comprehend as many Intents as humanly possible, no matter how negligible the direct power increase. As a bonus, his chances of successfully creating an Embryo of Infinity and getting that Embryo as close to his vision of maximum potential would also increase.
“My Prince, are you ready to eat breakfast and go to the Academy, then…?” The beautiful maid inquired after snapping out of her reverie.
“Yes, yes, I believe I am,” replied Jin with a slight smile, his entire presence far different from what it was the day prior. He even seemed to have grown an inch or two.
’I heard Prince Arthur was revealed to be one of the most talented geniuses of this generation, tied with the Penta-Element Shadow Kingdom prodigy, but this… Is this not more than a little ridiculous?’ The maid questioned to herself while escorting Jin to the dining room that resided on the other side of the palace. It was there that he had breakfast with his family.
The divine prodigy of the Shadow Kingdom—Ashvar Blackmist.
He was the number one recognized genius in the world. His name was known by everyone, and in less than two decades, he advanced to the Grandmaster Mage Realm and shocked the continent with his high combat prowess.
Yet, even he, who was a master of the Shadow Rule, couldn’t guarantee that he’d be able to do the same for the Space Rule—and that wasn’t even mentioning the age difference.
’I’m actually serving the #1 genius under heaven.’
A sense of extreme pride welled up within the beautiful middle-aged maid—and that merely because of the fraction of a fraction of the talent Jin showed to the world.
How funny life could be sometimes…

Some hours later.
At the entrance ceremony of Moon God Academy.
“Welcome, all seventy-six new students of my prestigious Academy!” The booming voice of the mane-haired Dean resounded, traveling across thousands of meters and reaching the ears of all the neatly-dressed youths below.
“Now, as you may have realized,” the Dean continued, “neither I nor the Academy itself tolerates the weak-willed or incompetent. The Gravity Run ensured you understood that point, and I hope—for your sakes—that you continue to strive for excellence throughout your stay here at the Academy.”
“If you don’t, however, live up to our expectations—and the expectations of your parents and guardians—then you won’t last long here.” The Dean’s menacing gaze bore a hole in all who lay at the opposite end of it. “And this stands true no matter your status. Even if you’re royalty or a loved heir of a renowned family, it doesn’t change anything. You can be expelled all the same.”
A deafening silence filled the air among the large crowd of uniformed students.
“But if you’re prepared to do whatever it takes to make it to your graduation ceremony, I sincerely welcome you to Moon God Academy.”
Dean Lionheart stepped down from a podium, his steps thundering out like the gongs of reckoning. On his way down, he caught sight of the unusual-looking youth that stole the show the day prior, and alongside a satisfactory smile, a sense of confusion emerged.
He had no clue why, but he felt like there was something different about Crown Prince Arthur—like he changed monumentally from the day prior.
However… he just couldn’t seem to put his finger on what exactly felt so different about him.
