After hearing this part of the job, Karl’s mood became much better. Among all the members of the Night Crow, Karl was one of the few who derived pleasure from killing humans.

He had a very bad reputation in this regard and once during a job, he had even slaughtered a whole village including all the children and women living in that village. This incident had given him the infamous underground title of the “Bloody Slaughterer”.

Even though that incident was a nightmarish story that many people could use to scare their children, it was one of the best moments in Karl’s life.

So now that there was an opportunity that he might be able to replicate what he had done in that village, he became very excited about this new job.

What could be better than having fun and earning money at the same time. Karl was really looking forward to this tour now.

This village in question was located in very remote area of the kingdom. So if he ended up killing everyone from the village and leave no eye witnesses behind, then no one would be able to come after him for this slaughter without any proof.

So for that reason, this mission in Karl’s eyes, was the perfect opportunity to have some bloody fun that he loved.

But then Richard gave him more instructions.

“Karl, it’s fine to enjoy yourself a bit but the client has said that they do not want the current lord of this territory to die.

According to the information, the current lord is just a young girl of 14 or 15. So make sure to not kill her by mistake.”

This was not a problem for him. If he could take his time killing hundreds of people, them leaving of little girl alone was not a big deal to him.

As for the girl recognising him, he was sure that his bigshot count client would take care of that. So, he left the meeting in order to start preparing for the trip in a very good mood.

Some time had passed after Weiss had officially became the ruler of the Souran territory. She had not wasted any time and had implemented her news plans in the territory. And surprisingly all of them had been very positively received by the villagers.

Especially, they were overjoyed to be able to keep their hard earned crops for themselves. Even though they still needed to pay a majority of it to Baroness Weiss as tax, previously they needed to give up everything. So the current situation was much better in comparison.

The hunters were also very satisfied with the new rules related to hunting. Now hunting had became a much more profitable task than before and the effect of this change was quite clear.

The amount of beasts that were hunted by the villagers during the last few weeks in the forest had already exceeded the number that they had hunted in the previous year and it was currently just the beginning of winter.

So more and more beasts would be hunted even in yeh future. And by selling various items collected from those beasts, Weiss would her a steady stream of income without doing much work by herself.

Not only as a lord of the domain, Weiss had also managed to improve quite a bit as a knight in this period of time after her taking over the territory. She had even managed to come up with a special knight technique on her own which suited her much better than the “Forced Eruption” special technique.

So in order to test that out, currently Weiss was in the forest doing some hunting. She was holding a bow in her hands while staying perfectly still on a branch of a tall tree.

As Weiss’s self created secret art mostly boost her agility and perception, a long range weapon like a bow was more suitable for her than something like a sword. So she had practiced a lot with the bow for the last month and had gotten quite good with it.

The result of this training was very clear to see. The beasts she was targetting were a group of wolves.

Even though she was hundreds of meters away from them, after she launched her arrow, one of the wolves was hit by it directly in the middle of its forehead and died immediately.

As soon as one of them died, the other wolves became super alert and immediately started to search for this enemy who had killed their group mate.

Weiss immediately used the new technique that she had came up with and the name of this technique was “Fleet Footed Steps”. This technique allowed her to move quickly and silently even when she was in a very rough terrain.

This move was very suitable for an agility focus knight like Weiss. With this technique, she moved to a different tree and targetted another wolf from her new location.

She had already used a liquid made from various plants to mask her smell, so the wolves were unable to track her down even with their extremely sensitive nose.

Just like that, in less than an hour, Weiss managed to kill all 8 of the wolves with her arrows.

And as she had managed to kill all of them with just a single well placed arrow to their foreheads, the valuable and beautiful pelts of these wolves were perfectly intact.

With this new move of hers, Weiss had managed to hunt quite a bit today. She had also gotten more used to coating her arrows with the life force, so all of them had extremely high penetrative power.

With this combination of silent but quick movement and super penetrative arrows, if Weiss was inside a forest, then she could even take down even a whole army all on her own. So she was quite satisfied with the progress that she had made in just a month.

After this, she quickly collected all the dead bodies of the wolves and carried them to a small cottage located just outside the forest.

Even though the secret art that Weiss was practicing was not a secret art specialising in strength, as a knight, carrying a few dead wolves was not a big deal. This cottage was a hunting cottage that she had secretly made and this place had everything Weiss would need to dismantle the wolves.
