Chapter 65: Trogg Dweller
“Brother, that Mine is surely to have even more monsters than those Kobolds outside. Are we really going to grind here?” Swift Slash was truly worried as he took a step back.
His heart shook as he observed more of the Kobolds filling the mountain with their numerous numbers. He had no doubt that whatever is inside the mine is far worse and more numerous than what’s outside of it.
Silent Wall gulped down a mouthful of saliva, worriedly saying, “Party leader, I’m not trying to boast, but tanking six or seven of them is my limit with a healer. I really can’t manage this many monsters altogether, much less more.”
It wasn’t just Silent Wall and Swift Slash who were worried. The others were also very tense and wished nothing but to return to the lake’s shore or stay inside this place to level up.
Kobolds filled up the entire mountain with levels varying between 6 and 8, with an occasional mini-boss among them leading a great group of them, which is why everyone had a bad premonition whenever they thought about going inside the mine.
“Relax, guys, you’re overthinking things like when we did the dungeon a while back. It’s not like I’ll ask you to tank and fight tens or hundreds of Kobolds on the same spot,” Yone rolled his eyes at his teammates’ fearful behavior and couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly.
’Well, to be fair, what we’re doing is far worse.’ With that thought, he couldn’t help but recall the real name of the mine they were entering.
***
Dark Canyon! Or in other more popular names, Hellish Mine!
Hellish Mine was known to be the most popular yet deserted place in the entire Crystilaized Stone Town back in his past life. The reason for its popularity was solely for the cause to its astonishing loot, gear, and experience one can receive from just clearing its entrance.
As for its desertion? Yone couldn’t help but recall the sheer numbers of Trogg Dwellers inside the mine and their tactics.
Trogg Dwellers were a mix of goblins and kobolds. The size of a goblin, but carrying some features of both at the same time. They were primitive, brutish humanoids, short, hunched creatures with leather skins, big mouths, and glowing eyes.
Trogg Dwellers are known to be very aggressive and protective of their territory; their agro range could even reach an astonishing limit of 50 meters once it’s a boss level, as for the casual monsters? Those were at the 10-meter mark.
Basically, entering any place with Trogg Dwellers, one can only expect an instant swarm of short creatures grouped together, brutally attacking them.
Thinking that much, Yone waved his hand and summoned his panel as he wanted to keep track of how many of them he needed to kill in order to level up to 10.
Player Name: Requiem
Class: Assassin

As for his bag loot and gear, he didn’t care much since his bag was empty and basically filled with trash items for sale and useless ones, and the gear was pretty much the same without a single change, hence he overlooked them for now.
***
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief hearing his words, but Yone could only sigh in disappointment. It seems like he was all this time considering them as the players he looked up to in his past life, and forgot these were mere newbies as of now.
Facing off against ten Trogg Dwellers at the same time was nearly their limit, even if Yone aided Silent Wall and tanked a few of them, so how could they deal with hundreds at the same time?
Even a Level 10 player would be finished when met with tens of Level 8 monsters, much less them.
However, wasn’t there a good saying for such a situation that stated: “If you can’t outfight them, outrun them”?
Yone’s party gear was pretty good, and the majority of it was on the Uncommon Equipment side, with a piece of bronze equipment for two people, just their gear can already be called top-notch in the current state of the game.
And added with Yone’s agility and combat skills, kiting such monsters is pretty much doable if one knew the strats to which they needed to be handled. If not, and they make a mistake, then the fountain hall is the only destination for all of them.
Following this, Yone told everyone his plan, which basically counted on the tank in front to tank three Trogg Dwellers at the front in a very narrow path while the three damage dealers behind him had to go all out and kill them as fast as possible.
Subsequently, the party followed Yone’s lead into the mine’s entrance after killing a couple of Trogg Dwellers guarding it, but didn’t go any further inside. Instead, Yone took his dagger and destroyed chunks of the stone, making out the entrance and piled up a few rocks on each side to narrow the entrance even further and ensure that only three monsters at a time could come out of it.
When Yone chose his position, he grabbed a few stones and threw them just a few meters ahead of him, making sure not to overdo it.’ This should be enough to pull 10 to 20 Trogg Dwellers, let’s hope no mistakes occur.’
“Silent Wall, you stay at the middle of the opening and make sure no monster goes through you no matter your condition or HP,” Yone commanded. he then looked at Rage and Swift Slash next to him and continued.
“You two, each stay behind the pile of big rocks I placed on each side and make sure to hold them as firmly as possible while also attacking. If any of you is having a hard time holding on, let me know and I’ll replace you.” He then took out his other dagger and tightened his grip on it, a smirk appearing on his face.
“Let’s farm EXP, shall we now?”
