[Third Person’s PoV]

As soon as the griffins started picking up their speed and pace, they dissolved into shadowy smoke sending everyone towards the snowy ground rolling.

“HEY! LUCIAN WHAT’S THE BIG IDE–” Annabeth started yelling, as she stood up but stopped before she could finish her sentences,when she turned towards Lucian, her eyes widened in horror.

“LUCIAN!” Annabeth yelled and started running towards his direction, the others looked back and started running towards him with shock and horror in their eyes as well.

Lucian… Lucian was on the ground breathing heavily as he slowly was dissolving into pitch black smoke, fading in and out of existence.

Annabeth slid towards him and knelt before him, “LUCIAN! LUCIAN!” She cried out with tears running down her face.

She tried to take a hold of him, shake him awake but her hands just passed right through him.

Luke and Thalia started slowly panicking as well, Thalia turned towards Grover and put a hand on his shoulder unconsciously tightening her grip, “You have been around other demi-gods before, right?, since you’re part of that camp surely you must know what’s going on”

Grover winces in pain causing Luke to put a hand on Thalia’s shoulder to calm her down, “Stop it you’re hurting him.”

Thalia quickly realized what she was doing and let go while apologize, “Sorry, my emotions got the better of me”

“No, I completely understand your friend’s in danger. I would feel the same way if I was in your shoes. Baaah As for what’s going on I have but idea but I can make some guesses of what I do know and see.

He’s burdening himself with something, his demi-god abilities are in too much strain that they’re collapsing on itself and baaahhh I think?”

Luke and Thalia looked at each and could already make some inferences of what’s happening.

“Annabeth” Thalia called out to her but Annabeth was too busy worrying about Lucian trying to see what’s wrong with him.

“ANNABETH!” Luke yelled causing her to flinch, “The book, In the book everytime we battle Lucian’s stops and writes down something like he’s counting and adding things up, what is it”

“What?” Annabeth asked, wondering why they would be worried about that at a time like this.

“Just answer the question, it’s important.” Thalia said in a serious tone.

Hearing her Annabeth gulp and nodded her head, “It’s how many ‘Shadow Soldier’s’ he has, he likes to keep count of his, “ever growing army as he calls it”

“How many does he have currently, you’re the one that has the book, right?, how many does he have, quickly I don’t think he has much time”

“Uuhhh I don’t know, let me check” Annabeth grabbed the book she tossed to the side and started flipping the book to the last page.

Annabeth then started to count what he was written down, “Here, it says he has, 1 raven, 5 Laistrygonian Giants, 20 Stymphalian Birds, 30 Lamias, 1 oversize boar.” She then flinched at the next part but continued, “156 spiders, 19 Empousa, 20 griffins, 140 harpies, and 154 hellhounds”

“Plus the one he just required a few minutes ago” Grover added

Annabeth quickly did the calculations, “He currently has 547 shadow soldiers”

“BY THE GODS” They all shouted even Grover shouted in surprise,

“No wonder he’s like this, that’s too much!, he’s only 7 years old, he’s too young to be carrying all of that in his shadows, I’m amazed he hasn’t broken down any sooner” Luke said in amazement and in worry.

“He has to release some of them, it’s just too much for the current him.” Thalia as she knelt down towards the heavily breathing Lucian.

“Lucian, listen carefully, you have too big of a burden. Release some of them. If you don’t you could die!” She said next to him, she tried to touch him but her hand passed right through him leaving a smoky black trial.

“Please Lucian, Release some of them, I don’t want you to die” Annabeth cried.

After a few seconds shadowy silhouettes of different shapes started leaving underneath him.

“AHHHHHHHH” Annabeth yelled as she saw a horde of spiders walk from underneath him, she went and hid behind Thalia while shaking like a leaf, they slowly started turning into black shadowy smoke and disappeared from everyone’s view…

After a couple seconds they saw that Lucian was still transparent and started to get worried and lose hope.

His heavy breathing then started to calm down and he started to gain more clarity, ‘I-I almost died again… I felt it and it would have been permanently too, I felt myself disappearing.

It looks like I’m still a tad bit immature about my reincarnation. I thought I was the main character now that I was reincarnated but because of my stubbornness and complex, it came to this…

Who did I think I was? Jinwoo? Even Jinwoo had to start slow when he first started as the shadow Monarch, he could only save around 20 shadow soldier, I’m lucky my limit is higher than that but it wasn’t enough reason for me to be arrogant about it and think all I needed to do is get more shadows to be strong.

I still don’t have a lot of mastery over my abilities to control my shadow, which lead to me suffering the effects of it but once I do then it’ll be a different story’ he thought to himself.

The others noticed that it was getting pretty late and the sun was setting so they decided to set up camp there and then.

As time passed Lucian started becoming more and more solid, in which he was wide awake. He kept thinking about his blunder, ‘I kept thinking that just because I’m the son of a God I would be invincible’

Lucian then held onto his necklace while looking at the night sky which was covered by the snowy trees.

He closed his eyes and tightened his grip, ‘Mom… would you be disappointed in me?’

With a final sigh he decided that it was better for him to sleep since it was so late and with that he closed his eyes and fell asleep without any trouble…

🗣: I KNOW WHAT I DID AND I’M SORRY 🤧🤧🤧 BUT IT HAD TO BE DONE!!! HE WAS TOO OP AND HE WAS ONLY 7 YEARS OLD.

🤛🤜 I GOT BOTH MY FIST READY TO DEFEND MYSELF. IF I WANTED TO MAKE THIS STORY INTERESTING WITH ACTUAL DEVELOPMENT THEN HE NEEDED TO BE NERFED AND TRUST ME I HATE IT AS MUCH AS YOU DO BUT IT JUST HAD TO BE DONE.

THIS STORY WOULD GET BORING SO QUICKLY IF I SOLVED EVERYTHING BY JUMPING SOMEONE WITH MY SHADOW THAT HE HIMSELF WOULD NEED TO REALLY TRAIN OR ANYTHING

ONCE AGAIN I’M SORRY…
