Its rampaging emotions began to subside, replaced by a cold, resolute focus. It met Red’s gaze, but its pride was not yet broken. It would not be captured. It had to be defeated, proven unworthy by an opponent it could respect.

“I like that fire in your eyes,” Red said with a grin. “Beedrill, X-Scissor!”
