Chapter 440: Chapter 439- Stop hesitating**

Ariana was currently sitting in the bathing pool, allowing her body to soak in the warm water and relax a little.

She has been busy a lot these days.

Apart from the stress of the students and the exam she had been constantly receiving information of Acolyte sighting around the academy these days

They didn’t appear hostile, rather they were focused on wandering around…as if to map things out.

Naturally, hostile or not, Ariana couldn’t have let them wander around. Many got caught but before they could have investigated those bastards, they killed themselves.

And the rest just ran away.

Ariana had a feeling that they were planning something big. And again, the target was the academy.

’For fuck sake, leave us alone.’ She groaned, finally getting out of the bath.

The students have barely overcome the last incident during the tournament. She didn’t want anything else to disturb them.

One might call her hypocrite when she always encourages the students to interact with real life danger and yet she fears if dangerous entities actually approached them…but that’s how she was.

Wiping her body, she looked at the clothes she had.

She wrapped a towel around her bare body and walked out of the bathroom.

In the kitchen, Adrian was currently making her dinner while wearing an apron around his waist.

A mischievous glint appeared in her eyes before she checked the curtains.

Thankfully, the curtains were covering the windows, that’s why no one could peek inside.

She slowly unwrapped her towel, revealing her bare body in the open.

Ariana had her back to him, bent slightly forward as she reached into the low cupboard. The soft kitchen light poured over her bare skin like a warm, golden spotlight.

Adrian hummed before he took several deep breaths and advanced toward her.

Ariana slowly got up as she sensed him standing behind her, his breath tingling her neck as he reached the upper compartment and pulled his shirt.

“Here you go,” his voice sounded deep from close.

She instinctively flinched, her breathing a little rough.

Ariana took the shirt and tossed it away before turning to look at her man, a quiet complaint in her eyes.

“Why are you being so cautious towards me? Am I no longer attractive to you?” It pained that he didn’t hug her and reacted the way he usually should have.

However, Ariana knew the reason behind his reaction.

She could tell he was barely holding himself. The way his chest heaved, his body tense.

The reason he wasn’t touching her, “It’s because of what happened the last time, isn’t it?”

The last time they were having sex, Adrian nearly lost control and Ariana got terrified.

They stopped midway and had a cold phase after that where Ariana was reluctant to face him.

Naturally, her reaction was unreasonable and Adrian must have developed an insecurity because of that incident.

“I just don’t want to hurt you again, Ariana.” Adrian said, cupping her cheek.

Ariana lowered her head and didn’t speak for a few moments.

Then, she suddenly pulled him to the nearby chair and made him sit there.

This single chair without any arm rest was devoted to their love making but wasn’t used by them in a long while.

Once Adrian was seated, Ariana straddled him and sat while facing the man.

Looking into his eyes she said, “I want you, Adrian. That’s all you need to know. I want you to fulfill my demand tonight and forget about the past.”

She tucked her fingers into his shirt and parted it, tearing a few buttons before her lips met his neck and collarbone.

Adrian took a deep breath feeling her tender lips on his burning skin as he said, “Are you not scared I might lose control again?”

Ariana didn’t stop, her lips kept moving as she whispered in between her kisses, “I will slap you back to reality and continue to rock my hips so that we don’t stop midway this time.”

He groaned as she suddenly began to grin her hips on his lap.

Adrian’s last thread of restraint snapped the moment her hips rolled against him, slow and deliberate. A low, broken sound left his throat, half groan, half surrender, and then his mouth was on hers, hungry, almost desperate.

He kissed her like a man who had been starving for weeks, tongue sliding deep, tasting her, claiming her.

One big hand slid up her bare back, fingers tracing the wet silver strands and the inked lines of her tattoos, then down again to grip her ass hard, pulling her tighter against the thick ridge straining beneath his pants.

Then Ariana rolled her hips again, and Adrian’s control shattered for good.

“Ah.” His breath was caught in his throat when he saw Ariana planting her knees on the bed, and raising her hips—inviting him.

Without a moment of delay, he got up and took the invitation.
