In the morning, Bryana drove Dean to the car to meet Kareen at the rehab. She wanted to come along but her husband forbade her because he was worried that Kareen would do something reckless to her.

“Be careful,” Bryana shouted, guiding Dean who still had to walk using a cane resting on his right armpit.

Dany, who was waiting beside the car, immediately approached them, replacing Bryana’s position to guide Dean until they arrived at the car and immediately sat in the passenger seat.

“You stay at home. rest, or do a physical activity so that you are healthy and not lazy. I’m just a moment. Maybe only two hours,” Dean said patiently.

“Okay. Two hours! If more, I will be so angry,” said Bryana then turned to look at Dany who had entered the car sitting in the driver’s seat. “Dany. Take care of my husband. Don’t let Kareen do anything to him.”

“That’s fine then. Go,” Bryana shouted, taking a step back.

Dany immediately drove the car out of the gate to the road leading to the highway leading to the address of the rehabilitation center. Bryana is still disappointed because she can’t come back into the house and chooses to go to the workout room next to the swimming pool to do special exercises for pregnant women.

Elsewhere, Carlos had just come home because he had spent the night at the apartment with Veronica. The man walked leisurely up the stairs to the room, accidentally running into Elsa who already looked neat as if she was about to leave.

“Why did you just come home last night, where did you sleep?” Elsa asked with a straight look.

“At Vania’s apartment. I miss Vano, that’s why I went there.” Carlos replied by lying.

Elsa who already knew that Carlos had rarely seen Vania smiled faintly in her heart saying, ‘You liar!’

“Where are you going so early, so well-groomed … and always sexy?” asked Carlos curtly.

“I try to entertain myself by returning to my profession again because my husband doesn’t have time to just accompany me anymore,” Elsa replied then continued walking down the stairs to Johan who was waiting for her on the couch in the living room.

” Johan, let’s go to the shooting studio because it’s about to start,” Elsa called out while glancing at her watch, which said eight o’clock in the morning.

“Okay, ma’am,” said Johan, bowing his head.

Elsa immediately walked out of the house while Johan greeted Carlos briefly then walked after Elsa. It turned out that the bodyguard was good at acting to hide his illicit relationship with his employer’s wife.

Arriving in the car, Elsa hugged Johan from behind and whispered, “Honey. The photoshoot will be at eleven. We can spend a few hours having fun.”

Johan smiled at Elsa. “Where are we going, ma’am?” he asked.

“To my old apartment. Carlos used to buy it for me and he wouldn’t suspect if I went there because I always look after you … and you, not just look after,” answered Elsa with an amused smile.

“She’s in the garden,” replied the doctor, turning to look at the see-through window. “You can meet her now and who knows you can help to turn her back into a normal girl,” she continued.

“Then, I’ll meet her,” said Dean then stood up using a cane resting on his right armpit.

Dany who was behind Dean immediately helped him out of the doctor’s room straight down the hallway with solid milk-brown walls that led to a long terrace close to the garden.

“There she is.” Dani pointed at the coral who was sitting on a white long chair opposite the white roses that were blooming and beautiful.

Dean nodded then walked over to Kareen with a limp while being helped by Dany.

Kareen was just silent, looking pale in her blue-white clothes, brushing her long hair and not polishing her face with any make-up. Her gaze was blank, focused on the scene in front of her, but the shadow was filled with images of when she was still often with Dean taking care of Sofia when still baby.

“Isn’t love meant to hurt the people we love? Then why do you want me to die when I still want to live longer?” Dean asked seriously looking at Kareen, even his brow furrowed.

“I did that because you don’t understand my feelings … don’t give me a chance to fill your heart,” Kareen replied with teary eyes looking at Dean. “You’re too selfish, Dean. Even though I was always there for you when you were in trouble.”

Dean sighed, surprised at Kareen being stubborn and still bringing up the good in the past. Of course, if the kindness was done with sincerity, maybe he could love her.. but it all happened because she loved him, wanted him to be her in return.
