Chapter 1: Rock hard(1)

“Okay, boys, it’s time!”

A kid shouted, thrusting his hand toward the sky like a leader rallying his troops.

The afternoon breeze was cool, but to the group of boys huddled around him, the weather was irrelevant.

Their faces were flushed, their eyes gleaming, and some were even on the verge of drooling. Today had been Sports Day. And Sports Day, well…

It wasn’t like any other day.

It was a day were all students in Metropolitan high school were tasked in completion of various sporting activities of their choosing.

Actually—Sports Day was already over…and that was the exciting part.

And what followed Sports Day? The glorious peeping hours.

Simply put, it was the time when the girls—sweaty, flushed, and glowing from the competition—would be in the dressing rooms, changing.

For the boys gathered here, this was the true highlight of the day. There was no need to explain it. It was the one moment where they could transcend their mundane lives as losers in a high school. Where they could indulge in a tradition they had upheld year after year.

At the far end of the group, however, sat Mikey, his back against the bench, completely absorbed in his phone screen. His fingers scrolled through the latest Chapter of his favorite web novel, Demon King Ascension.

His mind wasn’t on the plan.

Not that it needed to be.

It was the same plan every month. Sneak into the unoccupied lockers, hide out, and peek through the vents. If they were lucky, they’d get a prime view of the girls undressing. If they were really lucky, they might even get to see something more.

Mikey wasn’t much of a doer. He was more of a watcher. He wanted to do things, sure, but he was feeble and not exactly the most attractive guy around. He didn’t have designer clothes or flashy sneakers like some of the others, but honestly, he didn’t care. He had his peeping life. He had his web novels.

And that was enough.

“Mikey!”

A voice snapped him out of his daze.

“Huh?” He looked up, blinking rapidly.

“Did you hear me?” The leader of the group, a guy with spiky hair and an air of authority over their little pervert squad, was staring at him.

“Uh… yeah, yeah.”

He didn’t hear a word of what they had said, but whatever—he was down.

The leader grinned and puffed out his chest.

“Alright, move out! It’s time for Operation Panty Raid Supreme!”

At first the group felt cringed by the operation title, but after a few awkward moments they stood at attention and saluted.

Mikey, however, was still glued to his phone, his eyes scanning the words on the screen even as his legs moved forward on autopilot, following his companions in slow steps.

Mikey was lost in thought.

The web novel had reached an intense part. A battle was about to break out. His fingers trembled slightly as he read, but at the same time, another thought crept into his mind.

‘Ahhh….The story just got hot and now they wanna do the plan? C’mon! I wanna know what happens next..but…’

He paused for a moment as a blush flickered over his cheeks.

‘I wanna see…Mabel’s boobs too.’

The last time he saw them—oh, man.

They were perfect. Succulent. Bouncy. Upright, and wet from the warm sprinkles of the shower.

Droplets of water had clung to her smooth skin that day, making them shine under the locker room lights. The image was burned into his brain, an eternal masterpiece that no artist could ever replicate.

He exhaled, rubbing a hand over his face.

‘I have to keep reading… I mean, I’m a dedicated web novel fan, right? I can’t just stop here! Real fans never drop a masterpiece,right?’

But then, a conflicting thought struck him.

‘Screw that! Boobs or web novels? Web novels will always be there, but when will I ever get a chance like this again?’

That sealed it.

He was going through with the plan…He was gonna see some naked ladies.

Determined, Mikey tapped the back button on his phone to exit the novel.

Then, something weird happened.

Instead of returning to the usual page, it redirected him to the Web Novel Feature page.

Frowning, he tapped back again.

This time, a new pop-up appeared.

Mikey paused.

For a second, he considered asking his friends about it, but then he remembered—none of them read web novels.

“Pfftt…their loss.” he muttered under his breath.

He stared at the pop-up again as a river of thoughts swam into his mind.

‘This had to be a scam, right? But no—this was Web Novel. They wouldn’t advertise some shady scam. They were too

prestigious for that.’

“So what’s so special about this mode?”

Curious, he clicked on it, in search of more information on the newly advertised mode.

And then he saw the price.

‘Huhhh?? $1! That’s so damn cheap!’

It wasCheap. But it wasn’t the price that made his breath hitch.

It was the description which was displayed below the price.

He was lost of words, both inwardly and outwardly. He stopped his steps as well, glancing at his dented phone, hoping that it wasn’t some sort of a dream. It wasn’t. It was all real. It was a readers dream, and now he had a chance to get it.

At the bottom of the screen, a flashing red banner caught his eye.

Mikey’s fingers trembled slightly.

His eyes flicked between the two buttons that appeared below.

For a moment, he just stood there, the real world fading into the background. He wasn’t the most financially stable guy, but still it was only a dollar, so even if it was a scam it wouldn’t hurt that much.

Despite that, he swallowed hard and selected an option.
