After being immersed in darkness for a while, Julian’s eyes had gradually adapted to the thick night. He vaguely perceived that the object glinted with a silver light, cold and sharp, resembling a small star that had fallen into the hands of a beast. Just as his brain was spinning, trying to visualize what exactly that piece of metal was, a sound suddenly rang out, shattering the silence.
