Gray let out a small breath of relief and nodded.

The tension in Lyra’s body finally melted.

Her face softened into a genuine, albeit slightly shaky smile. Still completely naked, she collapsed forward and snuggled into his arms, burying her face against his chest.

Gray gently wrapped his arms around her and patted her back soothingly, stroking her golden hair with slow, comforting motions.
