Before her was a dark, wooden desk with two chairs facing it. Papers and quills scattered on the desk and the magical device used to classify each individual’s class. “Sit please”, Elizabeth ordered.

“Yes ma’am,” Claire said. She sat before the device taking in its details. A right hand print with gemstones on the tip of each finger, mana circuits ran through the device to a secondary device, one that looked to attach to a person’s left hand. Both feeding back to another device with a handprint. One that Claire assumed Elizabeth would use to power the device.

“Put your hand in this,” She said as she held up the second device, it looked almost like an inflated glove. Claire hesitantly put her hand into the device, feeling the pinpoint that’d add her class sheet. A sheet only she was able to access, tethered to her own mana. “Next, set your other hand on this” Elizabeth said.

With more confidence, Claire set her hand on the first device and took a deep breath. Closing her eyes, she waited. A flash of light penetrated her eyelids causing her to open them, then a pain in the back of her left hand. Just a small poke, with pain that went away rapidly. She felt her mana surge within her body and a sheet appeared before her. Almost as if a piece of parchment was floating before her very eyes.

Her eyes widening and her breath caught, three of them were completely different then she was expecting. The fourth one was a common defensive based class skill, but the other three made her mind race. Just thinking about the first one, spreading “the gift” made her cock perk up between her legs. Thankfully, her stats came out normal. Having low magic made sense as most healing and buffs come from the divinity stat. Magic was more elemental, illusion, or summoning based, if not used for magic devices. Everything else seemed normal, her defense and resistance stats being high made sense as her class was more of a tank. Everything else looked normal, very rarely were people given classes with stats above 10 at level 1. 

After finishing her examination of the stat sheet, she closed her eyes and had it disappear. Looking into the older woman’s deep blue eyes, she finally spoke. ”I received a Paladin class that focuses on defense and buffing my allies.” She declared.

Elizabeth smiled, showing off the wrinkles of age on her face, ”A paladin is a bit surprising, never took you for a religious type”

“I’m not, not more than any other. Don’t even know the name of the goddess I’m sworn to.” Claire responded

“Maybe future skills will reveal her name,” she said. Her eyes seemed to zone out to a thousand yard stare as she pursed her lips. Claire could only guess what the lady was thinking. To ask about her skills, stats, any current clues about the goddess maybe? After a prolonged pause, she focused back on Claire. ”No need to worry right now, you should be celebrating!”
