I sighed as I walked back to the dorms, since I pretty much didn’t have anything more to do in the next few weeks.

Well… I could potentially challenge Thaliel and Emyria in the rankings, but… sincerely, I’m not currently in the mood to do so.

And the festival will also last two more days, so any ranking challenges wouldn’t be accepted either way.

“Ugh, so boring…”

At this point, the only few things I could do were spend time with my lovers, go train, or prepare to invade the Primordial Court.

And surprisingly, they were snowballing into a much bigger and dangerous organization than I had ever expected.

Lost in thought, I didn’t realize that I had already walked past the dorm grounds and was currently heading down the main street of the city.

The city was gorgeous as always, with phoenixes flying through the golden sky and different kinds of mythical creatures walking through the streets.

The streets were filled with gods, each one of them in their own little world, not giving a single shit about whatever was happening on the other side of the realm.

And yet here I was, occupied by who knows what, and instead of enjoying this spare time that might be precious in the future, here I am, procrastinating.

“Oh…? I remember this place,” I muttered in a rather excited tone.

This marketplace was one of the places that Christina wanted to visit when she first came to the Divine Realm.

It’s also one of the most famous spots in the city, a long open street market that ran for about half a kilometer between two rows of buildings so old their stone had taken on that specific golden color that only came from centuries of divine energy sitting in the same place for long enough to stain it.

The stalls were everywhere.

Food, artifacts, divine materials, and things I didn’t have names for were displayed on cloth-covered tables by vendors who called out to passing gods with the cheerful indifference of people who had been doing this for a long time.

I had barely taken a few more steps along the market street when a sudden quiet voice slipped beside my ear, carrying a familiar sweetness that always felt a little dangerous.

“Did you miss me, Darling~?”

The breath brushed softly against my skin, and I stopped walking.

I did not need to turn around to see who stood behind me. The presence alone gave her away.

“…Yennefer.”

A pair of pale arms slowly wrapped around my waist from behind, her fingers interlocking over my stomach that made it clear she had no intention of letting go any time soon.

Her touch felt cool through the fabric of my clothes, almost cold, though the hold itself carried a strange kind of warmth.

When I glanced over my shoulder, I finally saw her face.

She looked as gorgeous and dangerous as ever.

Her skin held a pale tone that reminded most people of moonlight or fresh snow, which made the deep wine-red color of her eyes stand out even more.

Long black hair fell down her back in smooth waves, and toward the ends the strands slowly shifted into dark purple hues, as though the shadows themselves had seeped into them.

She leaned forward slightly until her cheek almost brushed my shoulder.

“You’ve been hiding for months,” she murmured in a soft voice meant only for me. “I searched through half the whole divine realm, trying to find where you were hiding.”

Her fingers tightened a little against my stomach, not painfully, but enough to show the possessiveness behind the gesture.

A brief silence followed before she continued, her tone still sweet, though there was something sharp hidden in it.

“Tell me something honestly… Are you spending time with another woman again?”

I sighed quietly.

“You already know the answer.”

Yennefer’s eyes narrowed for a moment, though the faint smile on her lips never fully disappeared.

“…Mhm. Of course I do.”

Instead of looking angry, she rested more of her weight against my back, almost as if she had decided she was comfortable there and saw no reason to move.

Then she let out a soft hum.

“But you still came here.”

Her gaze drifted toward the long market street stretching ahead of us, where rows of ancient stone buildings framed the stalls filled with artifacts, food, and strange divine materials.

“I remember this place,” she continued slowly. “You brought Christina here during her first visit to the Divine Realm.”

I raised an eyebrow slightly.

“You were spying on me?”

“Of course I was.”

The answer came without the slightest hesitation or embarrassment.

She even sounded faintly delighted by the question.

“I’m always watching over you.”

Her hand moved from my stomach to my chest, her fingers slowly tracing the fabric there as though she were reassuring herself I was truly standing in front of her.

“I hate seeing you with other women,” she admitted in the same calm tone.

For a brief moment, her nails pressed lightly against my chest before relaxing again.

“But I hate not seeing you even more.”

Then she leaned a little closer, her face near my neck as she drew in a quiet breath.

“Mmm…”

Her eyes half-closed.

“You smell like three of them today.”

A quiet laugh escaped her lips, soft and strangely delighted.

“Darling… you truly are terrible sometimes.”

Her arms tightened around me again, holding me with the same possessive calm as before.

After a moment, she lifted her gaze toward the market stalls again, as if only now acknowledging the place around us.

“So tell me,” she said, tilting her head slightly while her hair slid across my shoulder, “what exactly brought you here today?”

Her red eyes slowly returned to my face.

“Were you planning to buy something…”

A faint smile appeared again.

“…or were you wandering around while thinking about another dangerous plan?”

For a brief moment, I simply stared at her.

… I was extremely surprised by her words, as I didn’t expect her to even be able to guess my own thoughts.

Yennefer noticed it immediately, of course she did, and the faint smile on her lips slowly widened with quiet satisfaction.

Before I could even open my mouth to respond, she spoke again in a soft, almost amused tone.

“…Oh, my dear Aestrea,” she murmured softly, as her arms remained loosely wrapped around my waist, “you should already know that I understand you far better than you think.”

Her red eyes watched my face with calm certainty.

“You were not wandering around this street because you felt bored,” she continued, tilting her head slightly as a few strands of her dark hair slid across my shoulder.

“Your mind has been occupied since the moment you learned about the Primordial Court’s little connection.”

My surprise only deepened.

Yennefer’s smile remained charming as she spoke.

“You were planning to destroy them,” she said softly. “A quiet invasion, precise and efficient, before they could grow into something larger than a nuisance.”

She paused for a moment, studying my reaction with visible entertainment.

“But now that you learned they have been communicating with the Outer Gods, the entire situation has become far more complicated.”

Her fingers traced a slow circle against my chest as she continued speaking.

“You are wondering if their destruction in your previous lives was caused by those same Outer Gods instead of some mysterious divine force. And because of that possibility, you are now reconsidering your plan.”

My mouth opened slightly.

“H-how did you know…?”

The words came out slower than I intended.

Confusion filled my mind as I looked at her, trying to understand how she could repeat thoughts I had barely finished forming inside my own head.

Yennefer simply smiled.

It was a charming smile, soft and elegant, though the possessive gleam in her crimson eyes never faded away.

“I told you already,” she said gently.

Her arms tightened around me again, pulling herself a little closer against my back.

“I know everything about you.”

The way she said it carried no arrogance, no hesitation. For her, it sounded like a simple statement of fact.

Then her expression changed slightly, and a faint hint of irritation slipped into her gaze.

“And because I know you so well,” she continued, her voice lowering slightly, “I also know that you were thinking about asking for help.”

Her eyes narrowed just a little.

“Though unfortunately, the person you had in mind was that righteous bitch of a goddess.”

The smile returned to her lips, though this time it was more like a threatening smirk.

“But that will not be necessary.”

Her fingers gently squeezed my chest.

“I will help you instead.”

She leaned closer again, her voice dropping to a quiet whisper near my ear.

“After all… no one understands you better than I do, Darling~~♡♡♡”
