He snapped his fingers, and space folded around them once more.

They reappeared inside the quiet warmth of Aestrea’s personal palace, the distant sounds of the city instantly dissipating away.

Christina looked up at him, her eyes shining with clear happiness.

Aestrea smiled, pulling her close again.

Before he could say anything more, Christina took his hand and began tugging him gently but insistently down the corridor.

“Where are we going?”

“The other girls are probably either in your chambers or in their own quarters tonight. If we go to mine… no one will steal you away from me.”
