Then he pulled out some herbs from the pouch he carried, handing them to Maya, “Mash these herbs and apply them to your face. They’ll be better in a few days, remember not to touch water.”

Maya’s sobs halted abruptly, as she looked down at the slightly moldy herbs in her hand, deeply suspicious of their effectiveness.

“Witch doctor, these herbs have green mold on them…”

She held the herbs with shaking hands, cautiously questioning.

“What’s wrong with green mold?”
